Hello, MandL27 here.

I've been in the "business" of hacking Super Mario World for quite some time, and then I noticed this site in SMWC's Affiliates section, so I decided to poke around. It looked fun enough to do, so I grabbed SMBX and made an account here. I'm currently working on a project called Fluctuant Archipelago, and I'll make a thread for it once I learn2screenshot.
Also, I heard you have an IRC server; where would I find it?

Hello @MandL27. I am @bossedit8 who produces SMBX Videos for the most time and also working on a project. If you want to go to the chatroom of this forum board, under the Red Metal Block up there where the feature Links shows up, go to the White Block that is under it and if you go to the right side there is a Fish and the next "Chat". There you can enter the chatroom.

Have a nice time on this forum board.

Thanks for the welcome, but I was asking about the IRC server's name. I noticed that it directs to an IRC client that automatically fills in the server box, but I have a client already and was hoping to connect with it.

You can do screenshots in SMBX by pressing F12.
And about the IRC chat of the forums: The server address is irc.kottnet.net (you might also find KottNet in the server dropdown list of your client, if you have something like a server list there). #smbx is our channel on KottNet.

EDIT: When I tried to connect, the connection was refused. Is a certain port required?

Weird, I never had this problem. I'm a HexChat user and I didn't need to forward any ports. On webchat, I didn't need to forward any ports, either.

Might be that I'm using mIRC instead. In any case, I'm also in some need of tech-support; this should explain it.

I read that mIRC needs the ports 113 and 6660-6670 forwarded, especially 6667 seems to be important. Maybe you should try that?

Believe it or not, in order to get into CaffieNET (SMWC's IRC server), I needed port 7000 because 6667 never connected. I'll try launching it again and poking around with the port.

Yep. I can connect to CaffieNET (SMWC's server) without issues, though, so we might be able to arrange a discussion there.
