The developer disables the default hud entirely, so with the way it's programmed, the star coin counter would have to be remade from scratch. This CAN be done manually by accessing the table SaveData._basegame.starcoin[Level.filename()]. Looping over the table, reveals a list of true/falses which can be used to draw star coin state. There's also SaveData._basegame.starcoinCounter for a total count.
