About:
I'm aware I already made 4 project threads myself in this forum but two of them are cancelled (I'm not continuing Rosalina's Satellite after all), and one of them is, well, in hiatus maybe. So today I want to show y'all an idea I had since some time. TQOTDS (short for the project name) is a WIP episode with a traditional style, just a worldmap and levels with random themes. I have 8 worlds, the worldmap is all done already, the bonus mini-stages and the warp pipes are already set. A few levels are also done, so actually, to finish the episode I only gotta make the rest of the levels (like approximately 50 lol) and that's some hard work so that's why I wanted to post this at this point. I already have stuff to show off though!

EDIT: Forgot to mention it, the project is gonna be compatible with SMBX 1.3.

Plot:
At 4:00 in the morning, a really loud and strange noise coming from the Mushroom Castle wakes up everyone in the kingdom. People goes forward to the castle to see what happened and then they see everything dark inside. One of the toads went ahead and told everything to Mario and Luigi, then they opened the castle and noticed what happened: someone kidnapped Peach and stole the castle stars. However, nobody had a clue what did that darkness inside of the castle come from, until Mario found a letter in the floor saying "I kidnapped Peach and took the stars, I scattered them around the world! You will need to collect all of them if you want to get to my castle and save Peach, and if you ever try to find them, they will harm every human who touches them! You can't stop me! - Dark Bowser". Everyone in the kingdom got surprised and scared after hearing this. It's up to Mario and Luigi to save the kingdom. They must collect the stars and defeat Dark Bowser before something bad happens to anyone!

Worlds
1. Sunshine Meadows (Grass/Plains)
2. Deserted Islands (Desert/Ruins)
3. Pineapple Coast (Beach/Water)
4. Sugar Clouds (Sky/Clouds)
5. Dwarven Zone (Snow/Ice)
6. Poisonous Woods (Forest/Swamp)
7. Volcanic Valley (Lava/Darkland)
Special: Stardust Road (any theme, accesible from all worlds)

All worlds have 5 common levels (two of them with secret exits, one leads to a Toad house and the other to the special world) and a dungeon. The special world has, well, special levels, with varied themes, and warps to all of the worlds (just like a warp zone, but the worlds won't be unlocked if you access to them for the first time from the special world).

Team:
At the moment I'm the only person involved in the development of this project, but I would like to have one or two betatesters.

Credits:
The vast majority of custom stuff in this episode is made by PROX and Valtteri, so I want to thank them for making amazing stuff!
Credit to Inferno_Guy for the level "Hydrocity" (4th screenshot), I asked him for permission to make some changes on his level and include it in the special world.
LucMaster for inspiration for the level "The Quest to the Top of the Tree" (for the special world). It's a level with a very cool concept made by him in the fangame Mario Editor.

The first two ones are already deleted and their levels were pretty badly designed

And the collab isn't something I have to make levels for so

Try sticking to a lower level count like 30 or 25...

Eh, I said that was the actual level count of the episode, not the levels I still miss

The worldmap is already made and everything is planned anyways :p

I can barely tell apart the background and the foreground in this image. I suggest you change the color of either one. Other than that, these screenshots look good.

That's the tree level I mentioned in the credits, and that's how it's showed in the original level from ME, but I'll try to find something better

Anyway thanks for your feedback!

I like this, the general aesthetic is quite appealing, however I personally would change the cave ground to something a bit simpler, or add more scenery to it. But other than that, it's pretty good!

Thanks a lot!

And yes guys I am aware of the tree level aesthetics. However there's a part where there are holes from inside of the tree so the actual background (forest) can be seen; and the level takes place in the special world which has more variety in aesthetics and other stuff

Yes, I'm using 5 of them in every level. Also I will put more decoration there

(sorry I didn't notice your post until right now)

So, anyone interested in betatesting for this episode? I have already some levels done to receive feedback on them.

I find it really funny that you're using a lot of my old stuff when I have newer and better stuff xD. Like, the trees for example, you no longer have to use those abominations anymore! I made better ones! This is just a suggestion of course. You don't have to take it to heart, but I will say that if you want to use my stuff, I have better options to choose from. Again, though, it's just a suggestion and it's totally your call.

I don't use only your old stuff lol, I plan to use all of your new tilesets

Anyway, it doesn't matter at all if your tilesets are old or new, I do like them all

This project has been put on hiatus because my laptop's charger has finally passed away.

I will be active through my tablet, but I won't be making any SMBX-related stuff
