I want to replace NPC sound files and a background but it's not working.

So i've been trying to replace the sound effects for wart but it doesn't seem to work. i tried renaming it the same stuff, it doesn't work. i tried following the instructions from this post viewtopic.php?t=18983 and doing the sound.ini stuff. doesn't work either. then i tried installing that lunalua software but my antivirus says it's a H____ Virus or something like that. feeling uneasy i let my antivirus delete the smbx[dot]exe file. i also have a 2nd problem, I tried replacing a background and it worked.... kinda. the original background cuts off 1/4 on the top and doesnt make it any good. I need help!

Sounds: You're using .mp3s. I believe that .inis are the only file you can use to replace sound effects.

Then you should update to SMBX2 PAL.

I heard the SMBX2 editor is completely different. Should i still upgrade? Does it work the same?

There is a number of problems i am experiencing right now. (For SMBX2 2.0.0. PAL). My sounds are still not being used despite me changing them into a ogg format using audacity. 2, My midi instruments got changed and i don't know why and what to do with it. and 3, When my custom boss dies it's default "wart killed" kind of reverbs or repeats itself then and there. And how do i fix my background? 1/4 of it its still cut off by the original background. (the SMB3 one with the tall block thingys)
