I have to admit that in regards to activity I haven't been on in a couple of months. I've been on the discord and doing my own stuff but still yeah. Even so I will never forget about SMBX

imo forums hare having a general decrease of activity because nowadays people prefer communicating with more instant ways such as Discord
I can guess at the moment the smbx server is much more active

visit Discord, that's an actual chat platform which has a bit more activity than the forum.

Disregarding Discord for a moment, which is a better platform for community interaction, I personally don't have anything worthwile to add to most discussion on here. Possibly, others users feel a similar way.

I used to browse the forums quite a lot back in the day. I've still remained partially active on the main SMBX servers but I barely talk on the forums anymore. To be honest though part of the reason is that Discord is just so much easier to use. Instant messaging allows for quickfire back and forth conversations. Plus Discord has always felt less formal than the forums (like for example you can make short, one word messages on Discord while on here, that's against the rules for the most part)

Even the good ones will eventually lose activity, discord is a bit more active but the forums have gotten way quieter compared to the early years.

There is a lot of reasons for it.

I think I just noticed WHY the forums activity has decreased guys, It's the lack of fun shits* on this SMBX forums. Ever since Mafia was discontinued a few years ago due to lack of activities.... I might be wrong about this theory.... But how about we revive a old thing that the forums used to have in the past?

*When I said "Fun shits", I didn't mean those stupid forums game topics that was made just for increasing posts to be honest with y'all...

Use discord, everyone talks on discord. Forums are more used as a resource-sharing site.

I'm sure most people use discord but some of us prefer the forums. I'm not big on chatting but I'm sure I'm in the minority here.

Not to mention using the forums on a phone is a pain since you have to use a browser. Also no desktop notifications also suck so I prefer discord.
