Yep, I made another episode. This one is a world map styled world with 7 worlds (like the name suggests). These worlds are probably not the hardest thing you've ever played, but they don't hold your hand through it like my previous episode. Each world consists of 5-6 levels and a boss level. In 6 of those worlds, one of those stages is a town level, which sometimes gives you story. These are marked with a Yoshi's House level icon. Boss levels are marked with a star. There are also 2 secret levels. In total, there are 46 levels including boss and town levels.
Images because i kinda need images to not get this deleted: show
From the impression of the screenshots, you could have added way more scenery.
i kinda added most of the scenery in the first world and then stopped due to the lack of options i had for scenery
Did you feel obligated to make a vanilla episode? Even then, reoccuring scenery is far better than no scenery at all?!
there's not really many background options for desert, ice, cave, and lava worlds (none that i know of for desert, cave, and lava, and the snow backgrounds don't work on ice, who would want to see bushes in any of those themes?) and i didn't want to design all new scenery for these since if i designed scenery for the levels it would look horrible

excuse me, but, have you ever used custom graphics?
I notice that the same criticism has been expressed for your prior episode

Actually, yes I have, except the one custom graphic used in this episode looks terrible and so i tried to not use them. Besides, if I had the custom graphics shared across the entire episode, it would make it hard to tell if I'm placing my background tile in midair or not since from what I've seen custom graphics, custom sounds, etc. don't appear in the editor unless they're level exclusive. Also, I did try to only use the standard graphics (the episode only uses a single custom graphic and a single npc config throughout the whole episode)

I just 100% beated your episode, it was very cool, level were very short so I'll more likely say that this episode is a short one but the episode made me laugh all the wayyyyyyyyyyy, nice episode.

When I said "did you ever use custom gfx" I meant "did you ever use completely different custom themes". And of course cgfx are usually level exclusive, that's why you place them in the respective level folders

You are saying it like it's the only way to make level look good and cool, because it's not.
It's definitely a way to make your levels better when you're under the (relatable) impression that the vanilla palette is too limited for a larger episode.

Custom graphics don't need to be implemented to make a level look good, as Cedur was saying, they can be used to insert graphics for your desired theme to make it look good, but they're not compulsory. And there are plenty of options with the default ones, you just need to find which one fits with the environment.

The level with shell activation switch (Huge Inconvenience) is unbeatable, there's invisible wall beetwen shell and switch
