Hello, I've got an idea for an episode. Maybe I make this after YIX. IDK if I will allow level designers or not. It's like Sonic Generations but with Mario. Everything's SMB3 styled or recolored because trying to make graphics always be from the source game would be hard, and once you get past YI you really can't do that.
Help Requests:
Could you guys please help me iron this idea? I need help deciding what to do on the bosses with ???. And should I replace the SML2 or SML1 level with a Mario Kart level?
Game Info:
This will use LunaDLL - it makes bosses more variable, makes Bomb Bros and SMW Bowser viable, good autoscroll, etc.
Also note since I don't want to use custom playables except YI styled Yoshis (read: memory (haha) leaks out the wazoo), you'll just get Fire from a Super Flower, Raccoon from a feather, carrot or wing cap, Hammer from a watermelon, etc. the only things that will change are let's say no gravity fireballs for the Super Flower or a watermelon seed for the watermelon
Plot: Bowser's been defeated too many times! He's merged all the different versions of the Mushroom Kingdom and other places Mario has had adventures in in time together in the present! Ergo, all the villains from Mario's adventures are working together - it's Bowser Mayhem! Bowser has kidnapped Peach one last time to use her magical power to power a black hole to destroy the whole Mushroom Kingdom - except himself and Peach of course! Mario must get to his Black Hole before it's too late!
World 1: Classic Grassland - A SMB1 grassland, it's what you'd expect from SMB1 right?
Fortress Boss: SMB1 Fire Bowser (???)
Castle Boss: SMB1 Hammer and Fire Bowser
World 2: Subcon Desert: It's like SMB2 Worlds 2 and 6. Cobrats, Beezos, dig sand, bones in quicksand, boss Birdos (???) etc. Fortress Boss: Mouser(??? maybe Tryclyde?)
Castle Boss: Wart
World 3: Big Badguy Beach: It's the beach world but with a twist: everything's giant!
Fortress Boss: Big (Para??? I'll probably use Sednaiur's sprite) Boom Boom or Giant Larry
Castle Boss: SMB3 Bowser
World 4: Frosty Forest of Illusion: I don't think Yoshi should have said the Forest of Illusion would freeze over before Bowser came back because it looks like that's what's happened! It's like VI3's SMW frosty levels (I.E. Donut Secret 2) but with more variety and forest of course.
Fortress Boss: Either Ludwig or Reznor if I can make a good version
Castle Boss: SMW Bowser (thanks Valtteri)
World 5: Goonie Volcano: Hot hot hot! Watch out for Shy Guys and find the 10 red coins! (Sorry but SMBX doesn't allow long enough levels to have 20 red coins)
Fortress Boss: Another giant enemy (ideas???)
Castle Boss: Big Bad Baby Bowser (thanks Mudkip)
World 6: Luma Galaxy: This world is out of this world! Galaxies have appeared in the Mushroom Kingdom skies, and Bowser's Black Hole is close behind!
Fortress Boss: Bowser Jr
Final Boss: Giant Bowser
Star Road: Secret exits lead to these 6 secret levels, one per world. You'll need to get all 6 stars to be able to open the door to the final castle.
1. DK's Construction Site: Yikes! Rolling Barrels! Don't fall off! It's a tall trip to the top of the site where DK is.
2. Sidestepper Sewers: Explore the sewers and bop some enemies! Can you find the coin bonus room? Big Freezie waits at the end.
3. Birabuto Dunes - Wait - this isn't the Mushroom Kingdom! The Koopas explode! Watch as the METAL fireballs bounce in the air! Can you find the 1up heart? This is a crazy area that's unlike the Mushroom Kingdom - it's Tatanga's kingdom now!
4. Haunted Playroom: An abandoned daycare that hosts lots of boos and toys. There is one occupant - the ghost of former manager Wario!
5. Bob-Omb Battlefield: Collect all 8 red coins to unlock Big Bob-Omb's tower! Can you find Koopa the Slow's gym?
6. Gelato Beach: Spin jump on all the graffiti to be allowed to join the watermelon race! Can you beat Shadow Mario? PS watch out for the Pushsters!
