Another WTF moment I had while testing Phase 2 of the Gemini Man battle for the SMBX 1.4.5 boss rush I'm currently making:
I defeated the first Gemini Man, but the second's projectiles hit me!
Then another one happened during the boss I tested immediately after that, Hard Man:
When I was going to score a hit, a Hard Knuckle hit me instead!

When you and your opponent both perform a meteor smash in Smash Bros, and the hits trade and you both come flying downwards together.

Ofc, and to be honest, I was never that big into Doom or other Bethesda games. And that WTF moment was experienced not only other unfortunate gamers on Twitter who played this, but a friend of mine, also on Twitter

I was playing Valkyria Chronicles 1 on my Switch, and I'm at the scene in Chapter 3 where you gotta protect the gate from getting destroyed. I aimed my tank's sight to the enemy tank, and fire a missile at it to destroy this tank, but misses! :x

Almost every competitive online match in Super Mario Maker 2 is a huge WTF moment.

And speaking of WTF moments, you'll have a lot if you play a certain game called Touhou.

Playing a Mario Kart game for the first time in a while made me remember something.

One time I got hit with a red shell, and it was somehow the right spot to fly through the edge of the brick wall in MK64's Luigi Raceway. Everything went black, and my kart fell into some invisible water, with Lakitu instantly putting my kart back on the race track like any other pitfall.

That was more than 15 years ago, but even today I still can't believe that happened.

I played some Super Mario Bros. 3 just to test some other new audio/video cables on my NES, and since my brother came in to watch, I decided to continue for a bit longer.

While I was playing World 3-3, the moving objects and sprites completely disappeared for half a second, leaving only the water and sky. My brother was happy to know he wasn't the only one to see it glitch like that.

That's only the first time I've seen that happen in SMB3. Thinking back to the infinite number of times I've played the game, now I would've thought it would happen sooner.
