I am posting this here because many fell into @5438A38A's depths of hell.
It was discovered that the 38A .exe episode encryptor contains spyware that uploads your data to 5438A38A's server.

How? Isn't this a offline program?

IT IS NOT. This is actually a online program, with the only online features intended to steal your data like IP.
You can find your IP somewhere in the code of the encrypted episode.
If the episode is not quality enough that 38A does not like it, he will make it so that your game makes a fake error pop up.
So please refrain from encrypting 38A episodes.

Holy crap! Banning users from using the software and deleting their save files for using cheats is one thing but I can now officially say 38A isn't as the "master" that some claim him to be. This is just a dirty and unacceptable way to try to take vengeance on those that want to use his software, correctly. I can only imagine what he's doing with those IP addresses or some guy's bank information.
I remember this also happened when a Chinese developer who made a Sonic game, got mad that people were "stealing his sprites", so he decided to "take action" by uploading info to his server if someone cheated in the game, which was achieved by a DRM hook when the game starts.

You are thinking about Sonic Gather Battle.
Though the older than 2017 versions of that game did not do that.

Honestly, as much as this sounds believable knowing how 38A is, you'll need some sort of proof to show that it's true because this is a pretty serious accusation.

This thread was made by a ban evader trying to spread confusion in the community for some reason. Ask any questions about 38A in the thread for it: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=17944
