This is a sad and happy story at the same time

Postby TheNightingale » Sun Mar 03, 2019 10:37 am

This has much to do with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so I decided to make this topic today on its 2nd anniversary.

Although I don't know that much of Zelda Breath of the Wild, yesterday I read about the story of Gabe Marcelo, a guy that was going through a very hard heart condition which won't let him to do almost any physic activity or even to live for many years. His only fun source was playing video games along with his brother, so he had the dream of playing BOTW before his death. The rest of this story is pretty emotive, you can learn more about it here: https://waypoint.vice.com/en_us/article ... f-the-wild

Have you heard of this? Tell your thoughts below.

No, I never heard of it but it's really harsh for that man

His brother had to look out a lot, I imagine

Yeah, the story said that his brother didn't know how it would be playing the game without Gabe when it was released

I shall admit I spoiled a tear when I saw that...

Yes, but he's not suffering anymore at least.

Heard a similar story where a guy in his 20s was able to play a demo of Super Smash Bros Ultimate early, and would die from cancer before the game was released.

Yes I heard about that too. I'm glad that this guy and Gabe both got a chance to play their favorite games, even if it was just once.
