How do I replace World GFX in SMBX 2.0?

Hello, everyone.

So, I want to use custom tilesets and other GFX for my World Map, so I placed all the files in my episode folder without any additional subfolders. However, that always seemed to crash the Legacy Editor, so I decided to migrate to SMBX 2.0 and its PGE Editor. I tried doing the same thing as I did with the Legacy Editor, but the tiles, scenery, etc. never changed in the PGE Editor. I then tried placing them in subfolders titles "tile", "level", etc. But that didn't work either. Any help?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

What you did for 1.3 and SMBX2 initially should work. Did you press F8 to refresh the custom graphics in PGE after importing them? What file extension do they have (gif or png)? Showing a screenshot of your episode folder (with the files NOT in subfolders) would help me get a better picture of the situation and maybe see something off with it.

Huh, I never knew refreshing graphics by pressing F8 in the PGE Editor was a thing. I always thought it would refresh when you saved it just like in the Legacy Editor.

This pretty much solved my problem. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, PGE doesn't automatically reload on save, unlike the legacy editor. As a result, saving is much faster, but you occasionally just have to press F8 if you imported something. Glad that sorted your problem out!
