SMBX2 Crash

I have OpenGL updatte installed and 8GB RAM, but SMBX2 is freezing like this:

It also displays errors like this:

Sounds like you don't have OpenGL2 (released in 2004) which is the version necessary for SMBX2. OpenGL support is managed by your graphics drivers, so if those are up to date and you can't run SMBX2, then your graphics card doesn't support it.

Are you running this on Windows with a theme installed and not Linux? I can't tell. Also what is your graphics card anyway?

It fully depends on the feature set your card supports. OpenGL 2.0 is a rather old thing, and not all graphics card producers implemented the entire specification, sadly. It's very possible that the games you can run are simply using features that are supported by your card, but that your card does not support the entire OpenGL 2.0 feature set.

Depends on the card. NVidia is a brand, not a specific card. It's a bit like asking "does SMBX work on Windows?" - Yes, it does work on most Windows operating systems, but probably not MS-DOS.

I actually use various Windows Emulators for Linux, but none of them worked, most of the ones that were not Wine just gave a black screen. But some made it into the game further.
