This thread is about tell games so hard, but SO HARD that you were furious when you played.
I say that it's the Mega Man franchise. God, it's so hard that I need to use save state every hour when playing.
I played Mega Man 7 and 8, and I needed to use save state to not lose life every time.

I have a love-hate relationship with the first castlevania. On one had, I think its design is really great: each enemy, boss and level is unique from all the others and it feels so good when you're finally able to kill one of the bosses. On the other hand, it's so fucking hard. I feel like most of its difficulty comes from not being in full control of the character: your jump has a fixed size and you can't control it, which means any error you make in jumping may be fatal.

When you're paired with new players it's your job to be the team commander and to salvage their performance.
SirActionSlacks has a couple videos on it. They were made with Dota 2 in mind, but the games are similar enough for the principles to apply to both:

They're team games. Communication and mutual understanding are key.

It's hard when your teammates don't speak english and are in their own party and after getting killed few times, they go and feed the enemy...

Not usually a hard game, but the Demontower side-game from Night in the Woods was the most satisfying agony I have felt in a while.

Geometry Dash, around the sixth level in the game(assuming you play them in order) Can't Let Go, the games difficultly is pretty much taken up to an eleven, there are tons of parts in this game that you need to avoid obstacles that there's no way you'd avoid your first time around, plus alot of the stage design expects your reflexes to be insanely quick and reactive, and to top it off, none of the levels give you checkpoints. But i ranted for a bit, needless to say, certain levels, such as Xstep and Clutterfunk(which i'm still trying to beat) have definetely done this.

Same thing happens sometimes to me. But after a time you completed the level (if you play often), I realize I have it completely dominated. The only levels that I have not beated are Clubstep and Deadlocked (yeah I completed Theory of Everything 2), and sometimes I try them but I give up after some attempts to not stress...

Well staying on topic, I'd say the Minecraft servers minigames. It's pretty hard when I have to fight against a pro or a hacker.

As for me, it will be the original rayman on PS1. I feel like the devs did not or barely beta-tested their levels. The level of difficulty gets ridiculous after world 1. Every, EVERY single level after world 1 requires maximum skill, focus and memory, basically because of dangerous ennemies and cruel broken level design that oftenly looks like a bad mario maker level. But hey, skill is not all because, considering how difficult the levels are, the only way to go through this hell of a game is to farm ''things'' (basically the equivalent of generic coins in this came) to finally obtain 100 of them and get a life. Problem: every time you die (it happens a lot), you loose EVERYTHING, which makes the game even harder and unfair. Still, you can also get lives in levels, but they don't re-appear. Anyway, the worst thing is obviously the bosses. Just like the levels, you have to remember EVERY attack pattern to even have the chance to take one down.

People considers this a a ''playstation classic''. I bet none of them even passed world 2 in the first place. After pretty much 2 months of intense struggle where I restarted over and over again, the far as I got was the picture city boss that I failed to defeat everytime. It is by the way, one of the hardest, if not THE hardest boss of the game.

I Wanna Be The Guy. I still don't know what you're supposed to do after that annoying apple sequence.

I don't really feel anger when playing many games people have mentioned here, like Geometry Dash and Super Meat Boy. When I die, my reaction's more like "aw man, well, let's do better next time." Unless it's a bad/inconsistent GD level.

Look up a walkthrough on YouTube, as I seen some people getting through that troll-ish game with ease
