Any who, I've started so many SMBX projects but my passion in finishing them has always fizzled out, however, this project has kept me coming back on a weekly basis and I'm on a steady pace of perhaps finishing it before next year! If this episode gets released and players enjoy it, I would like continue onto a second and third game with slight changes in graphics and continuing the story but that would be a long time from now and who knows what could happen by then...
Story
After rescuing Peach, Mario went on a quest to hit every block in the mushroom kingdom, and when he finally was about to hit the last one, an entity known as Proto Pigeon appeared out of nowhere and told Mario how cool he was. Proto Pigeon wanted to see Mario go on another big adventure and not just hitting blocks, so he switched around the mushroom region into a brand new land and reset every star Mario had ever collected in hopes to witness The Mighty Plumber back in action. Who is this strange Pigeon and why can't he just leave poor Mario alone? Unfortunately for Mario, he's the only one who can confront Proto and make him turn everything back the way it was and get some stars back at the same time.

In the newest version, there is one hub and one Hammer Bro.s stage that add up to 7 stars.
The game is planned to have 10 hubs with varying amounts of stars. The episode will also include four areas including hubs, bosses, warps, and other secrets. The first three will have a Hammer Bro.s stage each as seen in the Demo with the final boss in the fourth.
