I want to start a thread, talking about all of your opinions on Fortnite.
Personally, I have fun with Fortnite, and I consider it to be a good game, but not necessarily a great game. I hope they kill off the SMG Meta soon, as it's getting annoying being destroyed by a compact SMG every game.
If you've been living under a heavy rock for the past year, here are some videos that might help you understand what Fortnite is:
I think we can all agree that it was no coincidence that it came out following the success of Battlegrounds. I don't care much for the graphical style. There really is no pallette. new items and maps are added without seemingly any consideration to how the existing items will fit in. I also think it borrows a lot from TF2's graphical style, but you could say that about anything, really. It came out at the right time, and that's all.
This game is overrated so much they apparently had to put it on the Switch, AS IF IT WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH! So now we have an overrated game on an overrated console, what's next? Comics Sans font? I've been hearing everyone (irl) talking about it and just not stop talking about it. It's flooded YouTube and Twitch, there's stupid memes made about it, they even fucking dab in an ad showcasing it's on the Switch. This game can go fuck itself till it passes out, because it's the absolute bane of my existence.

Having more good games (yes, fortnite is good whether you like it or not) is not a bad thing. It's very healthy for the console. You can choose to ignore the game all you want, and there are a lot of people who are happy about it. Your post really just shows an intense personal bias that you're projecting on the game itself, based on how you perceive the game from others around you. I don't really like the game, but only because I tried it and formed my own opinion; I wouldn't hold anything against it just because other people are enjoying it in ways I don't like.
Well I don't ''hate'' fortnite, like, I naturally has some hate for it like everyone (ha ha) , like being a bit tired of seeing it it everywhere, but it does not go that much on my nerves and I don't see it that much anyway. From what I ahve seen, the game looks relatively okay and also fun, although it apparently has some problems. If I could I would definitively play it and give it a try.
Hating popular things because they're popular doesn't make you an interesting person.
I never understood that sentence. I don't think people who does that are doing so to look ''interesting'' to other people, but just sharing their opinion (I'm not arguing if it's a good or a bad opinion though). I don't think devan was doing so here for instance, although I yes he was overreacting, unless it means that hating on popular stuff because they are popular makes the person ''uninteresting'' or somthing, which is a dumb deduction in my opinion.

I wasn't trying to be interesting there.
P.S. Some things are not always popularly loved, some popular things are infamous, like the Comic Sans font and Clippy.

That was my point, besides, this topic is about our honest opinion on fortnite, and what I said was my honest opinion.

My honest opinion about Fortnite? I don't have a strong hatred or enjoyment over that game. I've played it a little bit, but I didn't enjoy it. It's not as good as R6S or PUBG, in my opinion.
i like the how EPIC is making it look nice and original ways to attract someone and that lot of secrets
but i dont like to play the battle royale its kind no my taste
i play playground or STW
So, from what I've seen and heard, Fortnite is basically a shooter game but it's like crazier with a lotta weird and goofy things in it...
Ok, this honestly sounds like a game I'd enjoy, my one problem with it is the fact that I might encounter someone I'd stay far away from, considering that if I don't, things are gonna go downhill at light-speed. That's...actually an overstatement, more like the speed of sound.
I think Fortnite isn't that bad in itself, but it's community is annoying. At my school, everyone talks non-stop about all their kills. Plus the fact that you can emote.
I have played Fortnite for about an hour. It was fun for a while, but it became kinda boring in a short amount of time. Ironically enough, I think that the people who dislike the game on the basis of its popularity are far more annyoing than the people actually playing it.

I have a friend who despises Fortnite.
I have a friend who plays a lot of Fortnite.
To be honest, They are both kind of annoying. Because those are the types of people i hang out with

I don't mind hearing or talking about Fornite, until my friends start shoving it down my throat and CONSTANTLY ask me if I play that game, despite hearing my refusal many times. I just don't understand how that game even got so much popular, to the point where Cartoon Network took it's fame as a opportunity to be hip and cool with the kids and makes this abomination to reel in views :
