You mean people who use a previous version which is compatible with SMBX2 like 1.3/1.3.0.1 will be disqualified? I think that's the only rule I can complain of

btw the deadline should be a bit later to give a bit more of time to the people who haven't finished their levels (like September 16th, but unless someone else says anything I won't ask you to change the deadline

Welp, contests aren't easy to do, at least yours looks kinda decent, hope someone becomes a judge/contestant
Another rule you should consider which may lead to disqualification: people must send you the levels in private message and don't post a screenshot/video in the contest thread, not to mention that if they send 2 levels you will judge only 1, these rules are obvious but it's better to write them just for be sure

Your ruleset and information is not very well put together. There's no reason people need to inform you about using 1.3.0.1 since levels made in 1.3 are compatible with SMBX2. Also LunaDLL is deprecated by LunaLua but is still also compatible with SMBX2. And why do participants need to send a screenshot or video of their level with the download? I also feel like you mention not being violent towards the judges a lot, and as part of the guidelines, it'd be better to just say to be respectful of the judges' opinions since that seems to just be a little over the top.
Also I'd check up on rules of previous contests since you seem to allow people to submit other people's levels or levels that have been posted in the past, etc.
And just be aware too that unofficial contests are rarely successful, especially if you don't have a reputation built for yourself in the community. It's also good to approach others first to build up a judge panel before posting a contest and actually showing that you know what you're doing as a judge and host by participating in other contests and even giving feedback in the Levels forum on other people's levels to show that you can review levels

Some logic there PixelPest

btw i have two new contestants and myself and xDestroy as judges
but the ''rarely successful'' part tho....
another btw i tried running a smbx 2.0 level in 1.3.0.1 and unsuccessful results..... looks like your theory is a
little false to me imo (no harm here, i promise)..

forcing me to do so is basically dropping my humble skills into the abyss

you can use SMBX2's PGE editor and benefit from its advantages while still designing as in 1.3, without Lua and such

No really. It's a chaos. A disaster area. An earthquake site. A ch-
Well let's forget that before the mods get mad (hey, mod, mad, that rimes). That's not the point. Let's get down to the actual point. Will I or will I not be able to make an entry to the contest with legacy?

I think you got it the wrong way round.
A 1.3 level should work in a SMBX 2.0.
So you should allow 1.3 levels.
