The thread for films; the most recent one you've seen, your favorite, one you love to hate.

One of my favorite movies is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, from 1998. While it may be just a stoner dark comedy, there's a couple of atmospheric choices that make it seem creepy, surreal, and frightening sometimes

One of my favorite movies is Falling Down w/ Michael Douglas. I like it quite a bit because of the unique style, excellent cinematography, and how it gives that "it really makes ya think" kind of attitude both during and at the end of the movie. God Bless America was also pretty good, which was a more recently made movie with the same general concept of being pushed too far.

Hm...i guess Frozen is my favourite one i saw so far the plot is amazing the whole story is good and Disney didn't fuck it up.
Therefore i rather watch Action Movies and i heavily dislike Romantic Movies because most of them are rather horrible and have less romantic then they suppose to have.
I once watched LOTDRTFG my first Zombie Movie i ever saw but damn it was good.

Any horror movies, as long as they aren't old. 2012+ are the truly good ones.

I would (or wouldn't if you have severe heart problems) advise you to watch Insidious. It is the scariest crap you could ever see. Otherwise, I don't know why people say Freddy Krueger is scary, because it's stupid.

Huge movie enthusiast here! Well, I actually used to hate watching movies until last summer, but then I somehow got into it - I never liked badass-action-movies and comedies and never bothered to see animations, so I guess that's why I'd generally fail to find a suitable one to watch in theaters, but as I started to grow my own taste I got into cinema more and more. The last one I watched was Miss .45, I watched it last night and I found it to be kind of dull but it still had some pretty good scenes as well.

However, as for my favorites, while my favorite director would definitely be Stanley Kubrick -especially because of the revolutionary 2001: A Space Odyssey -, I can't really name a certain favorite movie. The most emotionally striking one was Tarsem Singh's "The Fall" for me, it is the first ever movie to make me cry - and the only one so far. I was really amazed by the plot, acting, and when you add up delightfully amazing pictures to that mixture, the resulting movie would be absolutely fascinating, such as The Fall. If you haven't seen it, I'd strongly suggest you to do so, even if you don't like dramas (I didn't either but this one ended up being one of my absolute favorites).

Another favorite of mine is Terry Gilliam's Brazil, I was utterly amazed by pretty much everything in the movie, and especially the intense final scenes and the last minute plot twist left me in amaze, I remember just staring at walls after watching it. It was, again, visually satisfying, but it had a lot more iconic scenes than The Fall - while that one was generally based on beautiful scenery, Gİlliam managed to combine that beauty with important aspects of the plot - and that's why I ended up taking almost 30 screenshots from the movie :P It's also a must-see in my opinion.

The last one I'm going to talk about is Lawrence of Arabia. It is the longest movie I've ever seen but I didn't feel the least bit of boredom while watching it. Every scene of the movie was like a painting, the acting of Peter O'Toole as T. E. Lawrence was extremely realistic, basically everything about this movie was fantastic. After watching this I could never get the line "No, Dryden, it's going to be fun" out of my head. I couldn't believe the movie was made back in 1962 when I saw how good it was even compared to most of the movies today, and it still remains of one of the most amazing cinematographic experiences I've ever had. As someone who's never been into war movies, this one was really exceptional to me. And FYI, the movie had no woman in the cast, so it's the longest movie with no woman acting in it so far. And every movement in the movie is from right to left, because the director wanted to imply that the movie was actually a huge journey.

I do have a lot more to talk about but I don't want to bore any of you guys and I also have a debate match to study for. So yeah, I hope that you enjoy these movies as much as I do!

I would have never guessed that you liked Frozen, lol. I liked it too, pretty refreshing to see Disney try something new instead of falling in love over night.

Frozen as well as Captain America: The Winter Soldier have been the top movies I have seen. Definitely two films I would recommend to anyone. If you haven't checked them out your lost.

I would definitely agree with all of these. If you haven't seen Frozen by now (and live in the US of course, I can't blame you if you don't since it might not be released widely elsewhere) I don't know what to think of you. Such a good movie.

Captain America 2 was also great; it's definitely one of the best movies in the MCU so far, and a good superhero movie.

The Lego Movie was also fun.

Frozen is incredible. The only Disney movie with unpredictable plot twists and interesting characters.
