Is my first (uploaded, at least,) S.M.B.X. project.
It is basically just Super Mario Bros. 2 (U.S.A.), but with new (and remixed old) levels, new graphics, new mechanics, and new gameplay! Or to put it simpler, a Super Mario Bros. 2 themed S.M.B.X. episode...
It's still fairly early in development, but I will update this post constantly as the episode develops.
Progress:

World One- Subcon Plains- All 8 levels done, now adding cherries
World Two- Shy-Guy Desert-World map completed
*Updates*
*Added a museum (like in Yoshi's Island D.S.)
*Added 1 level
*More custom graphics
*Added custom intro
*Added manual
*Added custom sound effects.
*Made 2 minigames
And that's it.
Story:

Mario, Luigi, Toad & Daisy find themselves in Subcon once again. But this time, it's on purpose. An evil wizard has taken control of the dream world, and all the residents of The Mushroom Kingdom and Sarasa Land have gone into a mysterious deep sleep that they can't wake up from. It is up our four heroes to enter the dream realm of Subcon, and find the source to the problem before they fall asleep themselves and all is lost.

My god, it's been over five years since I've even logged into this account. Christ, I hope nobody was still waiting for this, because it will NEVER be finished.

I'm pretty hard at work, but don't expect too much progress too fast. I'm only one person, and I have needs.

The screenshots are not stretched, they're just being played normally on my Dell laptop. Oh wait, I see the problem.

This looks pretty neat, though there are two suggestions I have:
1. Try a different background in the indoor areas with the Metroid tileset - the vanilla SMB2 warehouse doesn't mesh too well there. Perhaps a darker, recolored version of it with grey bars instead of red ones would work better.
2. I love that you're using enemy stacks here (they're criminally underused), but you should probably set the ones on top to not move so that they don't fly all over the place.
Also, since you're taking screenshots in fullscreen they look stretched - this can be fixed by taking them when it's not in fullscreen.

Not to be a nitpicker, but by judging the screenshots, i felt like you're being a bit too kind with the 1-up collecting in what i think is the first world...

Were you trying to make this episode "Newbie"-friendly early on?

Sort of, I kinda just wanted it to have lots of lives, because lives haven't mattered in a plat-former in a LONG time. Also, that Ninji bowling is mostly there for satisfaction, not lives.
