The game which starts with a choice.

• 3 sides (Mafia, Town and 3rd party) - 3v11v1

How the game's going to go down:
The game starts off with the players receiving their role PMs, which include a handful of choices to pick. There is a setup phase which'll last for 24 hours. (and won't end sooner under any circumstances due to meta evidence) During this, the mafia and the specials get to pick the roles of their choice, but the mafia only gets to know each other when Night 1 starts. After the setup phase will have ended, the game will go on like a regular game with the role choices staying unknown.

Roles and Role PMs:

You are the leader of the Mafia. You can choose to be: Godfather or Blackmailer
Godfather: Cardflips green upon death and inspection. Your votes are also worth two instead of one and the extra vote can break ties.
Yakuza: Immune to nightkills and ignition.

You are a member of the Mafia. You can choose to be: Consort, Stalker, or Thug
Consort: Can distract a player to roleblock them each night..
Stalker: Can visit a player to check who they visit during the night. Cannot detect the Dissector.
Thug: Can beat up a player each night. If that player dies that night or is lynched the following day, said player will cardflip black. Cannot target the mafia's kill victim.

You are a Town special. You can choose to be:
Sheriff: Can learn the color of a player each night.
Doctor: Can protect a player from being nightkilled each night. Can only self-heal once.
Dissector: Can learn the exact role of a dead player each day. Immune to the stalker's ability.
Vigilante: May kill a player of their choice during the night.

You are a citizen of the Town. You are a Townsperson but potentially a Miller. There could be 0-1 milers and 0-1 millwrights in total.
Townsperson: Can vote during the day in order to lynch
Miller/Millwright: A normal townsperson who flips red upon death or inspection.

You are the Independent criminal. You can choose to be: Serial Killer or Arsonist
Serial Killer: Can kill a player each night. Immune to nightkills.
Arsonist: Can either spill gasoline on a player's house each night or light up all the gased houses on fire. Ignition pierces through protection but not night immunity. Immune to nightkills.

This game would change around the Mystery Game mechanic to better suit creative players. Each player will receive a Role PM as usual, but the Role PM will have a variety of options if the player is chosen as a special role. There is a set number of Mafia, a set number of town, and a set number of third parties, but the player will be able to anonymously choose their role out of a set of possible choices. The game does not start until all players have decided on their role. Likewise, Mafia members will not receive the identities of their allies until they have selected their roles, to prevent plotting before the game starts.

Therefore, here are the possible Role PMs:

You are part of the the Mafia. You can choose to be the Godfather or the Artistic Mafioso.

Godfather - A normal Mafioso who cardflips green.
Artistic Mafioso - A mafioso who can choose to paint players whom the Mafia kill. These paintings will only affect the given player if they are a normal townsperson or a miller.

You are part of the the Mafia. You can choose to be an Eavesdropper, a Propagandist, or a Roleblocker.

Eavesdropper - A mafioso who can choose one person each night. If that person sent the host any messages, they are forwarded to the Eavesdropper.
Propagandist - A mafioso who can tell one person a random secret each night. (Functions the same as the penguin from previous games).
Roleblocker - A mafioso who can choose one person each night. If that person tried to use an ability, it will be blocked.

You are part of the Town. You can choose to be a Sheriff, a Doctor, a Propagandist, an Eavesdropper, or a Doublevoter.

Sheriff - A townsperson who can inspect one person each night to learn their color.
Doctor - A townsperson who can save one person each night to prevent them from dying.
Propagandist - A townsperson who can tell one person a random secret each night. (Functions the same as the penguin from previous games).
Eavesdropper - A townsperson who can choose one person each night. If that person sent the host any messages, they are forwarded to the Eavesdropper.
Doublevoter - A townsperson whose lynch votes count double.

You are part of the Town. You are a Townsperson, who may be a Miller. There may be anywhere from 0-2 Millers.

Townsperson - A normal townsperson with no special abilities.
Miller - A normal townsperson with no special abilities.

• Failed kill attempts against nightkill immunes will not be revealed, but failed killed attempts against players protected by the doctor will
• The Stalker cannot detect the Dissector's actions
• The Mafia only gets to know each other after the Setup phase will have ended
