if there ever might be a possible update to this game in the future i thought i would mention 2 things not many people know about... for one those rainbow mirror ball things that go round and round were defeatable in smb3 the only thing that could do it was the tanooki suit stomp as the statue... and two, not that there are invincible super stars in this but.., in many levels especially in smb3 you could start a level with a super star and if you were fast enough there was a single coin block just close enough that if you had your super star still going would spit out another super star if you didn't make it would just be a coin... they were placed specifically far apart in these certain levels that you could run the whole level as invincible! there were MANY levels like this it encouraged speed running and was quite fun... just thought i'd mention that... and if no one has made a recreation of super metroid, mario style i dern well will slackers ;p if they have please let me know. this is a great game bravo to those that put this thing together,peace

The tanooki suit could kill roto discs in super mario bros 3?

Apparently, yes, not only that, but the flames from flamethrowers could also be stomped on with the statue.
