NEW SUPER MARIO GAME IS IN DEVELOPMENT

OMG!!!!!!! NINTENDO IS WORKING ON NEW SUPER MARIO GAME!! This is a big deal guys! How will it be? Any suggestions or ideas? Discuss.

Yeah I heard this from the MarioWiki's front page a couple of days ago. Exciting, but really not that much of a surprise (they're probably always working on the next game in a series like this, really). Hopefully it'll be a little more Galaxy-like this time, not that 3D World wasn't completely awesome.

They're clearly talking about an actual new game, though (they mention possible uses of the GamePad in the article), not DLC like NSLU, SnifitGuy. That would be a real dick move by Nintendo if they actually did that, either way, but it seems unlikely.

True, but I swear the time trial concept hit it big with the market. So maybe not a quest based around Luigi, but at least a time trial DLC.

It's possible that they'd release DLC like this, but I'd be very surprised if that's what this article was referring to. They're clearly talking about an entirely original game.

I think we will see an E3 Trailer of this game soon, but I'm not really exited for some reason (66/100).

This does not come as a surprise to me, as new Mario games seem to have become a yearly occurrence. I would like to see a concept similar to Galaxy. I feel like the WiiU could make an amazing use out of it.

Hooray! It's time to get hyped for something we know nothing about!
Anyway, I want this game to be more like 64 than 3D World. Don't get me wrong, 3D World was amazing, but If it's like 3D World, it'll probably feel more like a $60 level pack.

We don't know anything about it other than that it exists, so you know. We'll probably learn something about it at E3 in June though.

I don't they'll show off the game this year's E3. I mean the development JUST started. It will take a while to show some footage probably

Well, I'm for both actually. I'll still be amazing on the 3DS or the Wii U. And if this game will keep some of the gimmicks from the two Super Mario Galaxy games and Super Mario 3D World, I want the game to have more story like the first Super Mario Galaxy and have more game elements from Super Mario 64 DS, the punching and kicking abilities which are necessary to complete the game. I want Mario, Luigi and Yoshi to be playable in the new game.

Another suggestion is that if it follows Super Mario 3D World, I want Subcon and Wart in the game.
