I do remember it but this wasn't really what led me to SMBX.
The fangame that led me here was Mario Forever and the channel that showed a light on this editor was 'Daniel's Game Vault' in August 2013.

Yep! 11 years ago to be exact, I feel so old... I used to release a series of (now-lost) levels under the name of The Knuckles96 Super Mario Bros. and for some reason started at world 8? My levels got into the best sections as well despite the fact they were absolute pants. I'm pretty sure I used to occasionally talk to Kley on those forums too but I can't quite remember.
So... Kley also played SMF?

Play it again now
i got awesomed for the new things
is awesome(but the physics are bad)
I remember that due to the bad physics I lost my power ups without noticing (they don't give you a freeze screen when you get or lose a power up)

He did disable registrations temporarily after I joined, but then reopened the site sometime after. I don't know in what state the community is in (although I highly doubt it is any better now) but the actual SMF community is now Level Palace, so join that if you want to see other SMF players.
Level palace is dead, like I said, the last level was posted in 2015
This is like completely false
Level Palace started in 2016, so I don't know how levels could have possibly been posted in 2015.
And the last level was posted today, so ...
Ok, I think I confused it with...

I confused it with level portal

My bad

I should try it again someday

I think I woke the nostalgia between the people of the forum

Yeah, Kley was also the co-founder(correct me if i'm wrong kyle darling) of Seth D's forum, ran by Seth D. It was quite big actually.

There was also a 'forum wedding' that took place on the original forums which may have been linked to its downfall.

Ah, I remember that game. I used to play with it, when I was like 6 or something.

(Something tells me to ask why call Kley "darling" but another something tells me to not go into other people lifes)

Wait, what is that "Forum Wedding?" a union between two forums? and why it would cause the downfall of a forum?

Two members were about to get married on a forum ceremony. Some people who migrated from here refused to discuss it.

Now is the moments when I say "what were they thinking?" but I don't think it's necessary

Super Mario Flash was the first Mario editor i have ever played and i always had fun with it but now it would be very boring to play it when there is smbx that is like 10000 times better to play.

I actually remember making a custom level during Geometry class (I think...). And the name of the custom level is a inside joke from a "Whitest Kids U Know" sketch 1 of my friends shown me.*

It was maybe my first editor, but honestly now that I resaw it, well, you can't compare that to SMBX.

Super Mario Flash 1 and 2 were my earliest substitutes for Mario games (along with Mario 63) when I was a kid and only got a new game once in a blue moon. I wish I could see all the levels I made, they all sucked ass but the experience was nostalgic.
