(On Hiatus) Mickey Mouse Works: The Platformer (for 2.0) (Help Needed!)

by ElmerMouseFan34
Logo montage by AndrewPixel, SMW font by BMatSantos, cog sprites by Valtteri and Mickey and Donald sprites by Landsverk96 (on DeviantArt).
My current project is a Super Mario Bros. X episode (for SMBX2) featuring the Mickey Mouse Works cast (and many others from the Cartoon Universe).
It's still in an early idea, but I've already started replacing some of the SMBX sprites with the ones made by Landsverk96, denmark137 (both from DeviantArt) among others. Also, I need some level designers and/or sprite maker to help me!
Story
«The Phantom Blot stole Professor Ludwig Von Drake's Time-and-Space-Travelling-Machine-Which-Needs-A-Better-Name (that's the real name) and used it to take over the Cartoon World.
As a result, Mickey and his friends got sucked by one of the portals and went to the past, away from what they knew as ToonTown. To go back to their time and place, they need to collect one of the seven Rainbow Stars to open the portal to the next destination.
Through the Journey, they will also find some familiar faces from Toontown as well.»
Playable characters:
- Mario will be replaced by Mickey;
- Luigi will be replaced by Goofy;
- Toad will be replaced by Donald;
- Peach will be replaced by Oswald the Lucky Rabbit;
- Link will be replaced by Scrooge McDuck.
- Minnie will replace Rosalina;
- Daisy will replace Ninja BomberMan (probably)
- Darkwing Duck will replace Mega Man.
Note: All the original rippers/artists will be given credits for the sprites in a separate text document, as well as the characters.
But tell me about your opinions! I'd like to hear them.

(Note: The credits for the graphics can be found on a "Credits.txt" file inside the demo folder available below in the "Updates" section)
Updates:
The 3rd demo is out:

Note: It requires the latest SMBX2, in this case, PAL version)

APRIL FOOLS DAY!
I bet you weren't expecting the demo to be released today, were ya?
Anyway, here's the link to the 2nd Demo:

The initial part of the story has finally been revealed!
(18/11/2018)
Today, to celebrate Mickey's 90th birthday, I released a demo level based on the first level of Mickey Mania. That's right, I'm talking about Steamboat Willie.
Here's the link:

Currently, I'm alone in this project, so I wanted to ask for your help!
Are you good at making sprites or at designing levels, and you love cartoons? Well, you might want to join me!
For the sprites, all I need (for now) is:
- a playable Goofy;
- a Playable Daisy;
- a playable Scrooge.
What do you say?
(14/11/2018)
During my long period away, I thought which should be the best option: 38A or 2.0. Now that I came up with the idea of choosing 2.0, I guess it's time to share some ideas of more playable characters:
- Minnie will replace Rosalina;
- Daisy will replace Ninja BomberMan;
- Darkwing Duck will replace Mega Man.
Also, the graphics for the characters will be completely reworked to have better quality.
Progress:
More updates (especially screenshots) coming soon...

First of all, this is a odd concept, considering when you are using SMBX to make a whole other game, when you could have used a different engine, so you wouldn't have to rely on everything in SMBX, but going past that, you have the concept pinned down well nicely but the sprites don't look like something that would fit in SMBX and they don't look very nice, compared to the SMBX cast and the sprites of the characters in other official Disney games. The character choices are awesome and are pretty cool, another thing is that you need in the Projects forum is screenshots and if you don't have any, your thread might be locked. Have a good day and I hope to see this project come foward.

I didn't say it was for Mario games only, but the way, he is using it, could just be used for a different platformer engine. I'm fine with him using SMBX, so don't worry.

Yeah, I'll try to find better sprites for the episode.
About the screenshots, I have some early screenshots of test versions.

This looks great! I like Mickey Mouse and his friends and am interested in using them as playable characters. Keep up the good work, also let me know when a Demo comes out.

I sure will! I think I'll release demo level this Sunday to celebrate Mickey's 90th Birthday! (Even though Mickey's sprites for most of the power-ups aren't done yet...)

I'll try to use Scrooge McDuck's sprites from the Ducktales NES games (updated, of course)!
