What do you all do for your general health and well being? For myself I just eat a bit less than I would normally, and take a daily walk and it's gone a long way I think. Reading and these ASMR rain sound videos and white/pink noise on YouTube have helped a lot too when combined with progressive muscle relaxation. Over the past year or so my family has had some premature deaths due to poor health, and a fairly recent incident in my immediate family has made me wonder what everyone else does. I get that diet and exercise is standard, but what are some of the specific stuff you all do?

Since I have high cholesterol in real life, I tried to manage my cholesterol by these 2 things listed:
- Walking from my home to my job at Papa John's Pizza in a 4.4 mile walk every Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday every week
- Eat fast food meals only once a week

I jog all the way to my house after school and use my trampoline for about an hour and a half or so. I also take wrestling practice on mondays and thursdays (used to on Wednesdays but things changed). Overall I would I’m pretty average.

Exercise is not related to cholesterol levels afaik and inconsistent slight physical activity like that probably won't do much of anything tbf

I run every day, I'm not in a track team or any thing (my school doesn't even offer one) I just run because I need the exercise.
It makes my legs feel funny, not bad, just weird. I'm supposed to be switching schools next year, hopefully they'll have a better gym class.
I used to practice Jujitsu, but we ended up short on money so it had to stop.

Good stuff. Soda crashes the body like nothing else.

With respect to the first post, I'm really into mountain biking so I've been trying to spin on a stationary bike in my basement at least twice a week. Used to swim often at a fitness centre near my house as well but I was sick for about a month (usually happens when I get stressed) and put that aside for a while. It'll be nice after my exams as I'll be able to ride (outside) an hour or two each day since we still have snow where I am, but hopefully it'll melt and the trails will dry soon.
My diet is honestly pretty healthy in general. I eat a lot of food but it's mostly good food. I have takeout no more than once each week usually find relatively healthy options. Also have eaten the same lunch at school for the last 3.5 years and have a good routine for breakfasts that's a pretty nice balanced diet

I became very self aware about a year ago.
I realised how sugary half the things in this world are so I pushed aside soft drinks, pulled water closer, stopped eating KFC completely (I never ate McDonald's. Their food is horrible.), I just. Became self aware.
I stopped swearing, "No violence" is a very big moral of mine now, I've sworn to never touch alcohol (Not even the slightest.), drugs, ect.
Keep in mind, this wasn't puberty. I went through that years ago. At 12. I'm 15 now, it came long ago. This was a stand alone massive self awareness surge.

Tbh I'm mentally stressed in the past few months. I tried to deal the problems stressing me one by one and the results were good as of now.

Low self esteem? I've been driving myself mad these past few years too.

I have to say that I never really go outside apart from when I travel to school. I barely have any friend in the neighborhood and my only actual friends are completely at the other side of the city where there's no subway line (cuz politicans are total morons), so I almost NEVER see them, unless it's my birthday or few other rare time in the year. I only use phone or social network to contact them. I USED to have a lot of friends and kids in my street and I was outside all the day but they almost all moved, so they weren't any real point to go outside then. Since I really fucking hate winter, I, then again, stay inside. Still, when it's summer time, I often do go outside and make bicycle, for example. Don't be confused: I'm not fat and my health is pretty good due to the balanced and healthy food I eat. I also never eat fast food or anything.

Breakfast is usually oatmeal and half of a grapefruit. Lunch is a package of fig bars, a plain turkey sandwich, a banana, and a Clif bar. Dinners vary, but on the nights I work I fry up three eggs and put them on a bagel with avocado. Also usually eat half to a full avocado each day. On days where I don't get very many green vegetables I also take a powdered greens supplement
