Favorite kinds of games?

What kind of game do you enjoy playing? I am asking for game genres specificly, and if you have no idea what I'm talking about, Wikipedia has a page for a list of video game genres.


For me, I enjoy tower defense games to death, and I also like shooters as well. Platformers are also fun, and sandbox and open-world games.

I used to play MMO and sometimes RPG alongside Strategy games but now i play only platformer games.

I like the old-school shits! But to be more specific, I like some rhythm games, platformers, rpgs, fighting, action arcade, and tower defense

85% of my video game playing is casual.

Puzzle games (tetris, Dr.mario, Puyo puyo, Tetris attack)

I play platformer when I want something less repetitive than puzzle games but. Not anything like the original 3 Mario game (1 and 3 kick your ass if you don't know what your doing). But something like Yoshi Island Series.

Life simulation (Tomodachi life, animal crossing, harvest moon/stardew Valley)

I really like RPGs. All of them. Action RPGs, SRPGs, and turn based RPGs

Action platformers are my jam, Mega Man X4, Sonic the Hedgehog 3K, Castlevania Rondo of Blood, Symphony of the Night, Super Mario Brothers 2, and Mr. Gimmick are my favorites.

Also, I like a few modern day arcade hits like:
