You could buy Windows 7 and 8.1 for 10 bucks each, and Windows 10 is not much more expensive... No need to use an officially outdated operating system.
I would consider getting a newer computer, one that has either Windows 7, 8, or 10 pre-installed with it. DON'T stick with XP, that's not a very good life choice in the long run.
