Because you are shooting fireballs in a quick moving material, we call quicksand. Other than that, I don't understand what you are babbling on about, but you are probably talking about quicksand.

Personally I'd be more worried about the plumber who eats random mushrooms and flowers and then apparently can make fireballs appear from his hands that bounce

The fireballs are so hot that they can evaporate the water quicker than the water can extinguish it.
