Re: General SMBX Speedrunning Thread(MAGLX 119th[ECL] The Princess Cliche All Characters[Mech])Not quite, this is a cheated run since you did not have to sit through the 2.2 second door animation at the start of the level and if you look at just the gameplay, this is just a 15.5 compared to the TAS tied or near TAS perfect time I had on it on the level of 15.3. This is something I am against. I am fine if ILs are done from the Level editor, but if the level has you start in a wrap pipe or a door wrap, you should be forced to do it from start game since most people do and some people have issues with Level editor issues. If you compare just our Gameplay times, I believe I would have a 13.1 so. (This is also the reason that run is not verified.) |

I think if you want to start from the editor on this type of level, it should be its own category. This argument over whether the run should be valid or not has gotten to the point that a Super Mod would have to handle it. (Mainly since we are both mods, and both of us have substantial evidence.) I never made an accusation. I guess I should have clarified more; however it does feel a bit unfair since most people run ILs from the "Start Game" function anyway. (I hope this makes sense.) |
