Pokemon may seem strange, but just remember: your in-game Trainer is not human, and few people really care.

This link also discusses marriage for the original Japanese text, but I was referring to the English translation change.

I might piss off some people by saying this, but here's the Johto gym leaders ranked from Hardest to Easiest in Gold & Silver:*
  • Clair (HARD)
  • Whitney (HARD)
  • Chuck (Somewhat HARD)
  • Jasmine (MEDIUM)
  • Morty (MEDIUM)
  • Bugsy (Somewhat EASY)
  • Falkner (EASY)
  • Pryce (EASY)

^^

*Edit: Decided to swap Whitney & Clair ranks.

Someone already saw the teaser of the Rainbow T. Rocket?

It's great to see T. Rocket return, and of course Giovanni is back too!

Bump! With a reasonable question for y'all:*

Who's going to pre-buy the digital copy of Pokemon Crystal on the Nintendo 3ds eshop?
I am!!!!! once I get some more money! ;)

*lol, it's like I'm the only guy in the community that keeps reviving this thread! :P

I'm going to "rant" about the Ultra Warp Ride in Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon for a second.

This is a pretty good idea, but the controls are just plain weird. You move around very slowly and there's a ton of obstacles (or whatever those weird electric orbs are supposed to be) to slow you down. Also, the wormholes are too big and you can often accidently go into one, messing you up. Also, it's very often that you will encounter the same non-legendary pokemon in one of the Ultra Space Wilds wormholes, which is ridiculous.

Bump with some interesting news on the new Pokemon games on the Switch:

I heard from Twitter that the next 2 Pokemon games is a reboot of Generation 1 (Red, Blue/Green, & Yellow), but with a choice of either a Pikachu or Eevee as your starter instead of the original 3 starters.

I do hope you can transfer your Pokemon from Pokemon Bank on 3ds to those 2 games in the Switch. If so, I'll do a blind custom nuzlocke!

You know travelling through the Ultra Wormholes can be made a lot easier by switching the controls to the circle pad. This can be done by visiting the game freak building in hea hea city and speaking to the aether looking guy (I'm pretty sure it's that character). This helps with getting further in the wormhole because the more lightyears you get, the more likely you'll get shinies, legendaries and pokemon with better IV's.

I am contemplating on making a Pokemon episode (or at least level), Pokemon Mystery Dungeon inspired me.

Sounds interesting. A Pokemon-theme SMBX episode based off Mystery Dungeon sounds very original and fresh imo

Choose either option. I'm sure they'll both be great.

BUMP!

Have any of y'all got the chance to pre-purchase either Pokémon Sword or Shield on the eshop? Because I noticed that there's a preorder bonus of 15 Quick balls for digital purchase.

I just recently pre-purchase Pokémon Sword on my (Nintendo) Switch! And I'm gonna save the 15 quick balls for more difficult wild Pokémon encounters or legendaries

Might as well bump this, but Sword and Shield has been out for a month now. What are you guys' thoughts on it? Did it live up to the hype? How have you been finding it?

It was okay I guess! I'll give Game Freak Inc. some slack for trying

Saw the reactions to this Pokémon direct about a hour ago. But sadly, I'm not gonna give the DLC expansion pack a try, I pass!

this is probably the smartest business decision they've made in a decade. most crucially it allows the devs to do something else than rewrite the game they just finished working on and allows them to try new things without alienating fans who already got their fix of classic pokemon formula in the base game.
