I'm really enjoying the episode! I like the comprehensive tutorial for completely new players, and the levels are well calibrated for difficulty. I would like to know if there are any secret exits. Don't tell me the locations, just how many there are.

EDIT: ignore me, I literally confused this with Unknown68D's Epic Quest

There are no secret exits. All secret levels are accessed by having stars

Update: I've finished the entire episode and have gotten all 100 stars. I would highly recommend this game and I really enjoyed it. I do have a question: why are there a total of 101 stars on the startup screen? Is there a star I'm missing, or is that a development artifact? I'm not sure. The only thing I wish the episode had was secret exits. That would be great for speedrunning and more competitive play. Other than that, it's a very complete hack with creative level design. The beginning of the game was very easy, but it definitely got harder, and the final levels were on par with other games.

I'm playing this rn, on SMBX2. It works fine... almost fine. I have a problem with skull rafts. If I'm on it for a few seconds, something instantly kills me, as if I fell into lava. Is there any way to fix this, or is the problem in SMBX2 itself?

Hi Halibabica, first off let me just express my tremendous appreciation for and admiration of this episode. It is consistently a joy to play and its level of polish is so high that it is my gold standard for bugtesting TheXTech (if anything ever goes wrong, it's almost certainly my fault).
But I finally found what I believe is a "true" bug in YA.
In the Col.'s Cruelly Cold Cathedral, the 2px-tall axe NPC that triggers the falling block above the boss door is difficult to hit due to Redigit's "easy mode collision" procedure, which prevents left/right collisions with the top 10px of an NPC (including the axe) in most circumstances.
You need to get the angle exactly right, which is only possible when jumping from the other ledge, but a player might not be aware of this and give up / assume there is a switch elsewhere they must trigger.
This recording was taken via TheXTech, but I've confirmed that the same issue affects SMBX 1.3.
Could you please replay this section yourself and see what you think? I think this could be a "showstopper bug" that merits a patch, even years after the original release, but I'll leave that determination to you.

Ha, that stinkin' bug is still happening. This event uses an invisible axe to trigger the block to fall when you jump on it, but to make it look like your weight is what did it, the axe's hitbox is about one pixel tall. When I first saw this bug, I figured the axe had been despawned and it usually worked when I left and came back. What I should've done is just made it a bit taller and put it on a generator, but if you want to investigate the issue, just remove the custom axe graphic from the folder to make the sprite visible.

You'd think so, but...
