Other means one time games (Mario Paint, Mario's Time Machine,Mario Run ) and games that involve Mario characters. (Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi Series)

I like the Mario and Luigi series, especially the early ones like Super Star Saga and Partners in Time because of all the unique ideas and creative moves, as well as the humour they have. The Paper Mario series also looks interesting, but I haven't played it yet so I don't have an opinion on it yet.

I thought the Wario Land series was really good. VB Wario Land was probably my favorite.

I'm a MAJOR fan of Mario Kart. MKWii is definitely my favourite by far, but I feel that MK8DX is the pinnacle of the series, and definitely the best one so far.

Oh, and the Mario vs Donkey Kong games were really good, too.

I haven't get my interested in Mario lately but I would say Dr. Mario and Yoshi series.
Crud, if you mean about the "best" ones. It's obviously M&L series and I can't say much about them.

Ok so here are my thoughts on the some of the Mario spin-off titles that I have personally played:

Mario Kart: I like the concept of Mario racing, however I think that the series could be better. It's fine but imo I think that it needs a bit more creativity. My favorite game in the series has to be Mario Kart 8 just mostly because it has the most stuff in it and it looks pretty great.

Mario & Luigi: I love this series, and I have played through (but not completed...yet) every game except for Partners in Time. My favorite in this series has to be Dream Team because it has beautiful music and visuals and I love playing through the game. I know that they say that Bowser's Inside Story was the best but, confession time: I didn't really enjoy it that much.

Paper Mario: Pretty much the same deal as the Mario and Luigi series, except for the fact that I never really got to actually play The Thousand Year Door, but I own a physical copy of it, however. Personally, my favorite in the series was Super Paper Mario, but that might change if I ever get around to playing TTYD again.

Mario Strikers: Can't say much about this series because I only played Strikers Charged, but I really liked that game. My only wish was that it had more content, and maybe another game in the saga.

Mario Party: I enjoyed this series, but my only complaint is all of the RNG. Only played Mario Party DS, 8, 9, and 10, so I can't say a lot, but out of those my favorite has to be 8. The only thing I hated about that game was three words: Flip the Chimp.

So, out of these sagas, the one that I found to be my personal favorite was Mario & Luigi.

Mario Kart is pretty much the main side series I've played. And I absolutely love it. Except for that one abomination from MK8... Pink gold peach... WHY NINTENDO, WHY???

Don't forget the Villagers
