Showdown makes it easy to build competitive-viable teams and then use them in matches, you just have to sign up and make an account and you're ready to go! The team builder is fairly easy to understand, in case you have trouble figuring it out, feel free to ask in this thread though.

This tournament, we're battling in US/UM Singles OU tier.

The way this tournament will be organized is as follows:

• Participants will go up against each other in Single Elimination brackets
• Each participant duo will be given up to three days to battle it out with their teams on Showdown
• Both participants will then send me a playback of their fight.
• The winner moves on to the next round
• The participant to win the finale wins recognition and bragging rights as official SMBX Community Pokémon Champion

And with that, the SMBX Community Pokémon League Championship has officially begun.

Oh, I remember using Pokemon Showdown Aaaaaages ago. Although I was never very good at it. I never seem to be able to get the hang of it, I never know what moves or pokemon are best, so I have no clue how I would even make a competitive team. I have some tiny understanding of some of the strategies in battles, but as I said, I'm not very good. I may be that person who always turns up, gets really excited and then loses to everyone because their team is terrible and so is their strategy.

This is why I proposed the idea of themed teams, so people would have to deviate from their usual strategies and come up with new ways to battle and even use Pokémon they wouldn't normally use

You can't directly import teams from the main games but you can easily replicate your in-game team in the team builder. If you can use them depends on if we do a standard tournament or themed teams.
