(This will be my 2nd Episode)

I am making a Super Mario 64 like game with 9 worlds (8 normal 1 special)
Good luck to me i guess

Progress
World 1: 100%
World 2: 0%
World 3: 0%
World 4: 0%
World 5: 0%
World 6: 0%
World 7: 0%
Bowser's Castle (World 8): 0%
World Star (Special World): 0%

Every time I finish a world I will release a demo! (yay!) Except for Worlds 8 and Star. (aw..)

Overall progress: 6.66%

Video in place of screen shots
Spoiler: show
Back on track!

Also I have no ideas for the 2 world so feel free to spam those level ideas. :/

Demo 1 Here! viewtopic.php?f=36&t=20546

Till I think or get some World 2 ideas this is on hiatus (other than desert levels cause I don't want repeating themes for each level)

No, the screenshots are broken. You have to upload them to a site like https://imgur.com/ and then link to them.

A video will suffice, but screenshots are usually preferable as they give users quicker sneak peek at your episode without giving away what the gameplay is completely like. Also you don't need an Imgur account to use its image hosting services

Try using tiny pic, it's super easy and supports the [img] format of forums.

Anyways, your levels are filled to the brim with clash. In case you aren't sure what clash is, clash is when multiple different game themes are in the one level. So basically for example: using SMB3 pipes in a SMB2 cave using a SMW cave background. They clash, don't they? Well that's your levels. Try to stick with one theme and one theme only.

Also, why not try using custom graphics? PM if you need help on custom graphics.

Thanks and good luck!

Custom graphics don't make a level good and there are some great levels that don't use any custom graphics. Your explanation of "clash" is somewhat inaccurate too; there are some levels that mix styles really well and it works just fine. I'd say less of the issue here is the style mixing (which for the most part looks fine) but it's more the use of some tiles that don't mix well with others, such as in the last screenshot where the cave tiles don't really fade nicely into the others. Sometimes picking one style for a level to work with can be a good, safe way to go, but it isn't always necessary

Yes, such is true: there are some great levels that use completely vanilla graphics and use them well, but I'm not a fan of the clash here.

Yes it's style mixing (your definition of "clash") but I don't personally see that as too much of an issue; there could be some better choices made but I honestly think the SMW cave and SMB3 desert tiles can work together. The bigger issue I see is how some of the rules within styles don't fit well together, like SMB3 cave tiles placed directly adjacent to SMB3 desert tiles

This my first episode I'll try to fix it but I'm not that good in artistic choices.

Also the 3rd level is going to be just subcon so no clashing there.

Should I replace the SMB3 Cave with SMW Cave?

As long as you give it your all it should be ok. I'm glad you listen to criticism, some people don't and leave the flaws as is. Good work!

Like I said before, don't cancel because of reasons like a glitch unless it screws up the entirety of your game, you can still fix it. What version's editor do you use? 2.0, 1.4 or 1.3

EDIT: It seems to be 1.3, I recommend you use PGE editor if you want it fixed quickly, it has a selection tool that will fix most of your problems and will allow you to shift it back down. 1.3's editor is good but it is robust and is too slow to fix most errors in a level.
