This has been a long time coming, but now I am finally able to release to the public my endeavor in Super Mario Bros. X level making, and to GameBanana of all places, on which this is the first SMBX episode posted. Welcome to The Distant Kingdom, another story about how Princess Daisy has been kidnapped by Bowser (because Princess Daisy seems to be the new damsel in distress in SMBX). Contained within are 10 main levels, six in World A and four in World B. All of the levels with the exception of B-4 "Final Fortress" were finished on the 15th of January, 2015 on a different computer, and have only within a few days of this submission gone through minor changes. I hope that you will enjoy this episode of Super Mario Bros. X as much as I have while finishing it off.

To install The Distant Kingdom into Super Mario Bros. X (1.3.0.1 or newer), place the The Distant Kingdom folder inside the worlds folder. It will then appear in the 1/2 Player Game menus the next time Super Mario Bros. X is launched. This episode can be played in Super Mario Bros. X2, but this is not recommended.

Level design and texture edits are entirely Jack (Jack5) Stringer's work, and these texture edits can be used freely by anyone in Super Mario Bros. X as well as other projects.

Nice episode. Except I'm disturbed about the "U" shape path in the first screenshot of the map. The "U" shape path lead to a underwater level, yet the level is display as land.

And why exactly are you disturbed about that?

Isn't very disturbing, but those paths that go up and down the cliffs could have been those rock paths, to make it look more like a natural cliff.
The screenshots look decent too, good job!

not every episode has to have custom graphics, just give it a whirl and try it out.

It was just a question.

There are only a few custom graphics used to assist with the theming of the episode. For the most part, The Distant Kingdom is full of a mixture of default textures from the various games.
