What makes you say that?

From this tutorial alone I would've messed up the strokes a few dozen times and ended up with either a rather chubby or lanky variant. Working from primitives is much easier and more consistent than drawing the entire character from memory starting with the final strokes. So... nice work getting that done so well, but it's hardly a comprehensive tutorial.
