Super Mario Odyssey 2 ideas

Some of my ideas for kingdoms are:
-Spooky Kingdom
-Cyber Kingdom
-Mountain Kingdom
-Beanbean Kingdom
-Farm Kingdom
-Ice Kingdom
-Underground Kingdom

What if you're able to add attachments to the Odyssey? Like, while exploring, you can pick up materials that you can use to build weapons and stuff? Then, before you go to the final kingdom to beat Bowser, he flies past you in his airship and sends out a bunch of flying enemies at you and you have to capture the gun that you built on the Odyssey to shoot them.
That would be cool.

I get where the Beanbean kingdom from, thats from a Mario Game, ;P
either way, the Idea of adding Attachments to the odyssey sounds interesting, i just dont agree with a gun (unless its a bullet bill launcher)

Guys I just got a super cool idea!!

What if the wing, metal, and invisible cap return? You can wear them by throwing Cappy at one of the blocks. When you throw Cappy, you lose your ability, but you get it back when he returns. That could be used in platforming challenges in the game!
What if they make more of these special caps. Like, maybe they could add a speedy cap which (obviously) makes Mario go faster. They could also bring back the flower abilities of Mario and Yoshi from Mario 64 DS and make them into caps.

I thought of these ideas during History class because we were learning about something boring...

Helllll! that would be so fun! we already have the metal and (if you count it) invisible cap in the form of costumes, but it would be nice for them to ACTUALLY do something other than be pure ascetic Purpose.

A level editor. If the fans can create a near-perfect 2D one, then surely the Nintendo Gods could create a 3D one.
Sure, it would be hard to make, but imagine how many possibilities there would be for that!
Besides, it wouldn't be impossible, because if it was, Super Mario Odyssey would never have been made!
(Plus, there have been people who made hacked custom levels of previous 3D Mario games, so it can be done (Take Super Mario 64: Star Road as an example))

I don't see a reason to have a level editor as part of SMO2, as it would just increase the size of the game. It only make sense to have the editor be its own game, like Mario Maker. Although to be honest, if we don't have a Switch remake or sequel to Mario Maker, then a 3D Mario Maker is almost confirmed to not happen. The Wii U is THE best console to design levels on, because of the touchscreen. You probably seen PC games with level editors (such as The Escapists) which don't exist on consoles, and that may be because controllers are not really viable to make levels with. The Wii U has a touchscreen to remedy the problem. The Switch also has a touchscreen, but only in handheld mode. In docked mode, the controller is the only option. This may be why we did not get Mario Maker on Switch, and why it may not happen. Though controllers could help in 3D editors but only because of another problem. 2D editors (both sidescroller and top-down like the older Legend of Zelda games) are inherently more accessible because there is only one plane to work with. Accessibility is lost when you add more planes the creator must consider (such as making it 3D). SMBX is a good 2D editor as there is a lot you can do, there are few limits and it the basic parts are accessible as well. An editor as accessible but in 3D will be more limited I believe. Most 3D editors I have seen are rather limited compared to some 2D editors like SMBX. Also, SM64 ROM hacks are also bad examples of showing that 3D editors are possible and suggest you don't know what it is like to make them. It is not a single editor like SMBX or Mario Maker. You actually have to use several programs to make a ROM hack and if you lack determination, you will fail to amke a full scale SM64 ROM hack, which may be why Last Impact, The Green Stars and Star Road are the only major full scale SM64 ROM hacks you see, there is just too much effort to put in for the average person to acheive. If you end up cancelling SMBX projects, then doing a full scale SM64 ROM hack will almost certainly be out of your capabilities. I don't really know if there will be a single program to make SM64 ROM hacks, but even if one comes out, I doubt it will be accessible.

That is true, very true.
But it would be cool to see a level editor for a 3D Mario game, which would allow people to create their dream levels. Yeah, it would bee really hard to make, but think of all the possibilities. For now though, here's hoping Mario Maker 2 is announced next year.

I think Sarasaland should make an appearance, also though I know it was a dream world anyway, how cool would it be to see Subcon and all it's enemies in HD?

I'd like to see a kingdom kinda like Freezeflame Galaxy from SMG. It would also be cool for Cappy to have certain region-based powers

I would be one happy camper if Nintendo remembers that Tatanga is a thing, and adds him in Super Mario Odyssey sequel

It would also be nice if a Bonus Mode was available after beating the game, with the same / changed moons but with added challenge.
And what about time-based missions? If some power moons were only available at some times of the day/night cycle, then it would be more realistic.
For example, in an ice kingdom, a waterfall would be frozen solid at night, but flowing water at day.

That sounds kinda like Cosmic Cove from SMG2 to me, this would be an awesome mechanic neverless.


I wonder if they could make a cave kingdom in the sequel, with all sorts of passages and stuff, maybe even with a small town in it. I'm even going as far as to naming it Crystalia because I can.
