They thought to do smbx for Android, but, why not do it for other systems? (sorry for the bad English)

Here's my answer: Impossible

If SMBX was ported to linux, Mac, iOS, & android, Nintendo would find out and destroy the game, and The Community! :o

Not the problem at all lol. Do you honestly think Nintendo would have snapped already if they were going to?

The issue is rewriting the engine from the ground up. PGE has an editor for Android but no engine. SMBX for mobile is useless anyway. Also there have been threads discussing how to use SMBX on Linux and Mac on the Help and Support forum (I think they're stickied) that you should check out

SMBX exists for 8 years if I am not wrong. I am pretty sure that Nintendo already knows at this point.

There is a linux version going around and i thiiiink it works on mac too? Don't quote me on that, but there are threads on the forum somewhere for those.
Having attempted to build games for Android and iOS before... good luck getting a game with copyrighted content into their app stores. Especially on iOS, where you need a mac to even build for the system.

Chill out.
And there are totally ways to get SMBX to work on MAC afaik. We've had users in this community make it work with the use of WINE. I hear it's rather tricky, but it is possible.

Do you have any links to a tutorial Kley? It would be awesome to get smbx on my mac

1.3 stuff works fine using PlayOnLinux/Mac, but a bunch of Lua stuff unfortunately crashes. Still, you can play a ton of the classic episodes!

For everyone who will find this topic in any random moment again: Since March 2020, now the cross-platform port of SMBX exist, it called as TheXTech: it works on Windows (both 32-bit and 64-bit, recent version also for ARM64), Linux (official native builds for Ubuntu, may work on anything also, depending on libc, game can be built for ARM, MIPS, PowerPC, and just for any other Linux distro from the source), can be built on Haiku, works on macOS, both Intel and Apple M1.
Details here: https://wohlsoft.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3677
And very soon, the Android build will come here, at the moment of this post, I working on the Android version, I have the working build that works on my phones and tablets I have, but it's tricky to use it yet until I'll complete it.
