Hey! I'm here

Look, I don't know very well how to make custom GFX, I don't know if it's posible to have a 2x2 pencil in Paint.net for make the sprites...

But I know how to recolor, and I recolored a old tileset from Castlevania for my project Attack of the Darkness, for a level based in Forest of Doom from Castlevania Portrait of Ruin

I decided to recolor the original sprites for make them look like the Forest of Doom tileset from Castlevania PoR

and here it is!

I like it, especially because of the two backgrounds and those green torches. The purple Zingers are a nice touch too, even though they blend in.

The purple zingers actually are killer bees from the original Forest of Doom from Castlevania

Rebember:

The original graphics were made by Valtteri and FireSeraphim

I just recolored it, recolored some other items, merged some backgrounds and it's done!

This is nothing more than recolored GFXs :?

At least I expanded a bit a tileset here

I like the ivory colors and the overall brightness, it makes it somewhat unique amongst Castlevania tilesets.

It's not that unique when the original Forest of Doom does have a similar tileset

still... thank you

1) paint.net has a fill bucket tool. Fiddle with the options until they look like this to prevent bleeding:
Image
2) The palette on this is not good. It's hard to tell solid tiles from BGOs since they have a very similar colour, the solid tiles themselves have very low contrast and don't really look like anything and the colour itself is like puke. Here are some tutorials that should help you create more appealing palettes:
