How am I supposed to get a lunaworld text file to work?

Postby thanhmy » Sun Oct 15, 2017 2:52 pm

I can't get a lunaworld text file or lua file to work. When I try to use a text file, it is just ignored by the program completely. I tried saving it as lunadll.txt and lunaworld.txt, and it didn't work either way. I tried it with lunadll and lunaworld lua files, and it still didn't work, it just made the program think its root directory was SMBX\worlds\the invasion 2\warp9 for some reason. LunaDLL is installed, though, because it does work for individual levels.

So, how exactly am I supposed to make a lunadll text or lua file affect a whole episode? (what should the filename be, where should I save it, etc.)

Don't use LunaDLL Autocode. Level lua uses lunadll.lua in the level folder, episode-wide level lua uses lunaworld.lua in the episode folder.

Welcome to the forums!

All LunaLua files need to have the extension .lua which you can find by showing file extensions and just changing the extension of an empty .txt file to .lua. (Your computer will say something about it breaking files but don't worry, it shouldn't.) To affect your whole episode place a lunaworld.lua file in the same directory (folder) that your .wld file is in.

Also make sure you're using LunaLua (which comes with SMBX2 or 1.3.0.2) since LunaDLL is deprecated as The0x539 mentioned
