Looking for feedback on Highschool Project sprites

Hello. I am currently doing a high school project in which I am to develop a “prototype”, which in this case is a little platformer that probably won’t amount to much. As part of it, one has to look for feedback from different sources for the development. I figured since a lot of the community is very active in spriting and whatnot, and therefore have experience in what works and what does not, I was hoping to get some feedback on the animations used in my main character, and basic enemy/collectable (they are basically coins that move). If there are any other improvements that could be made, I will also gladly hear them, but I don’t plan on increasing the scale in terms of pixels, or greatly changing the art style, as I don’t really have time to make something that takes more effort or time investment than this. I really appreciate any feedback from anyone who has decent experience with spriting. :)

I don’t really have anything I can offer in return, so only do this if you find it fun or are bored or whatever, I don’t want to make people feel like I’m using them.

It looks decent for whatever you are planning, and good unusually unique choice of characters, birds vs the trees in which they nest, maybe more enemies that fit the tone of what you are going for?

The animations look impressively fluid, and it generally looks really good for a high school project.
