Mario & Luigi X

Mario & Luigi X is an Episode based on the popular RPG Series Mario & Luigi, which started in 2001, since its creation, it has gain a huge following with many fans of the series. However, despite its following, it has next to no episodes or levels on it in the SMBX Forums, which is something I plan to fix.

While it doesn't have any fancy LunaLua code to recreate the Battle System, it does feature a huge cast of levels, with a minor story, and engaging gameplay.
The gameplay itself, sounds very dumb on paper, but it is to the core, a defeat all style of game. Each level features a number of enemies that all must be defeated to unlock the goal in the level. The player can also collect stars, which are required early on, and unlock things such as Power-Ups and Gates to later locations of the game. It starts out simple, with just a few Goombas, and gets more complicated, featuring masses of Hammer Bros. or otherwise. There are also a multitude of levels that aren't battles, but instead Towns, Puzzles, and Troves of Power-Ups and 1-Ups. The game has 5 Areas (Worlds) along with a number of Sub-Areas in it, these Sub-Areas can be as different as entire landscapes, and as similar to simple changes in a terrain. Be aware that this style of gameplay allows levels to be just as short as a minute long, so a seemingly absurd number of levels, is actually not all that much in actual time to complete.

The Story:
Spoiler: show
Bowser has come up with a plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom, along with the Kahar Kingdom that leads toward his new Castle. He starts in the Dreamy Grasslands, and makes his way through every land up until the Mushroom Kingdom itself. He then enlists his newly assigned leaders Boom Bam, Magikid, and General Koopaling to keep the area under their control until they can go and Capture Peach. Mario and Luigi wake up moments before this happens, and defeats most of the Army occupying the area, and take out the Outpost that Boom Bam was in control of, and soon Defeating Magikid and pushing Bowser's Forces back into the next area before they could cause any real issues. It is now up to Mario and Luigi to defeat Bowser and his Army and take back the Koopa Controlled Land of Kahar.

Could you elaborate on what could be improved, if it's something simple that I overlooked, then I could easily fix it, but if its something with the mechanics, then I more than likely won't do anything unless it's a fix of some sort.

I've updated the format a bit and created a list of Progress so that people can tell how far the project is into completion.

I'm thinking you should look into custom graphics

I already have a few custom graphics for this episode, but they aren't used often, stuff like enemies and bosses. Soon I'm going to make a version of Mario and Luigi that fits the style of the original Mario & Luigi games.

You can currently play it in 1.3.0.1 and 2.0, however it will be switching to exclusively 2.0 in the next update, so I suggest that.

I'm aware of that, but from the screenshots provided this episode looks like it could really use some

I don't have many custom assets, most of them are very specific for one use and one use only, like the bosses and towns.
I will be adding levels with different graphics soon though.
