While Zipper's post was from a bit over 3 weeks ago, Cedur has been waiting since July, so I would say he's been pretty patient with getting his request fulfilled. Your reply saying you are "taking a break til January or February" doesn't exactly sound reassuring to those who have requested and have been waiting for their chibi drawing. If you offer up a service, it's generally assumed that you deliver before the heat death of the universe, so consider whether in this scenario you are the one who failed them.

Try living in my shoes for a while. And try to make room in your schedule for chibi drawings for the community between work & video making time. I DARE YOU

When people do this all the time:

''I need help! My 1.4.4 level isn't working well because (insert specific problem)

''38-A sucks. Download 2.0.''

Tbh people say it less bluntly than that and sometimes the problem literally is the 38A engine or editor

Well I never had any of these problems with the engine so I don't see how is that the engine's fault , meanwhile I can't run the 2.0 test editor on my laptop... Yet 38A runs fine...

But sometimes it's perhaps a good idea to not shove your version preference into someone's face instead of making an effort to tackle the problem directly.
