Is DAP good to use?

I have this this thing on my computer called Download Accelerator Plus, because downloads on my Windows 7 computer are too slow. I believe I got this as addware, or at least I think so, and it hasn't caused any noticeable problems. But is it ok to use?
Just curious.

If you didn't deliberately set out to get it, or you don't know exactly what it does, get rid of it posthaste.

Programs like this are always a lie. The only way you can get better internet speed is changing your internet provider and sometimes, maybe upgrading your PC as well. (but if you have a dual core CPU and 4 GB RAM at least then you're fine when it comes to PC specs.

Yeah, stuff like that is made to trick people and get them go download viruses. I am pretty sure it is a Trojan Horse.

Try seaching the program's name online and see if other people have had bad experiences with it.

If downloads are slow get a better internet provider or upgrade your PC.
