M43 Host Sign-ups (Round 2)

The popular forum game that separates the good from the bad, the strong from the weak, and the loose-cannon cops from the slightly schizophrenic. That's all after we figure out who's who, of course.

Midnight on the Docks
17 players
Cardflip
Town wins if all the werewolves and The Stranger are killed.
Werewolves win if the number of surviving town members equals or is less than the number of surviving werewolves.
The Stranger wins if all of the werewolves and all of the specials are killed.
Lynch votes must be in red. Bolding is optional but highly recommended.

In the peaceful seaside town of Blackwater, a murder strikes every midnight. The townsfolk have become aware that this murder is not committed by any man, and so the rumors of werewolves have spread. Paranoid and fearful of this invisible threat, the townsfolk have rallied, being wary of one another, including the strange, robed visitor that has come to the town. No one is innocent, not until proven otherwise... how will the town hold up against the dangers of the night?

Werewolves
Werewolf: Decides with the other Werewolves on who to kill each night.
Werewolf
Werewolf
Half-Lycanthrope: Decides with the other Werewolves on who to kill each night. Cardflips green when inspected or killed. During each Night phase, the Half-Lycanthrope may choose one of two things that will happen when he would die during the night.
1. He saves himself and becomes a regular Werewolf, cardflipping red upon inspection and death and losing all other special abilities.
2. When he chooses this ability, he must also pick a player. That player will die when the Half-Lycanthrope dies.

Town
Seer: May inspect a player each night, learning their color.
Acolyte: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but becomes the Seer when the current Seer dies.
Gravekeeper: May inspect a dead player each night, learning their role.
Priest: May save a player from death each night.
Huntsman: May kill a player once per night.
Lover: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but is in contact with the other Lover.
Lover
Townsfolk: Can vote to lynch a player each day.
Townsfolk
Townsfolk
Townsfolk
Madman: Acts as a normal Townsfolk, but cardflips red upon inspection and death. Is aware that they're the Madman.

Third Party
The Stranger: Can kill a player once per night. Alongside being able to kill a player, he may choose one of three abilities each night.
1. He can don a disguise and paint himself green for the Day phase. This disguise wears off the next Night phase.
2. He can place a mysterious ward on himself. If he would die during this Night phase, he may save himself.
3. Once throughout the entire game he may use this ability, invoking the anger of the Old Gods and crashing a wave into the village. This ability roleblocks every single player (not including The Stranger), and kills off a player chosen at random (also not including the Stranger or the Stranger's original kill target). Once this ability is used, The Stranger cannot make a kill during the following Night phase, although he can still use one of his other two abilities.

This game has already gotten some significant changes about 5 times.
Q: What does that mean?
A: Dis is not a resub

M??: Undead Chaos
16 players, cardflip
The Necromancer and the Undead
This team will begin with only the necromancer, and wins by outnumbering or equalling the town. This team has one kill each night
Necromancer: Controls the undead. If the necromancer has converted less than three people, he may then choose to target a player and turn them into a Zombie, Skeleton Warrior, or Ghoul. The necromancer's team may not have more than one of the same undead(2 Zombies are not allowed for example). Can kill a player each odd-numbered night. Cannot be nightkilled and cannot target himself. If inspected on night 1, they will cardflip green. If the Necromancer doesn't convert anyone, a random target will be chosen unless four people were already converted. The conversion won't replace the nightkill.
Zombie: If the zombie is nightkilled or lynched, they will kill the person that killed them(Nightkill) or the last person that voted for them(Lynch). The zombie still dies.
Skeleton Mage: A skeleton that knows how to cast spells. Made a barrier that can protect themselves from nightkills. Can once in the game permanently give up on the nightkill immunity and kill someone.
Ghoul: May do one of the following each night:
-Sneak on a player and attack them, silencing the target.
-Scare a player, making them paranoid, where they will refuse to cooperate with anyone, making abilities from the town not have any effect on the target for one night.
The Town
Wins by completely destroying the Undead
Priest: May protect a player from mafia abilities and from becoming undead each night. Cannot become undead, but isn't immune to nightkills. Can't target themselves.
Jailer: Can target a player each night, roleblocking them and protecting them from nightkills, but cannot save the player if they would become an undead. Can't target themselves
Cop: Has a kill each night. If the cop kills an innocent, they get a penalty.
Penalty system:
1 penalty: They cardflip red for one night;
2 penalties: Their gun will be temporarily taken and they lose their ability for one night;
3 penalties: They will be silenced for one day and lose their ability for one night;
4 penalties: They will be fired and lose their ability permanently.

Detective: Can interview a player each night, and find out their color. May once in the game find a player's role, but this will lead the detective to lose their ability for 2 nights.
Burocratic Doctor: Twice in the game, can make it so that all the players killed in the current phase roleflip instead of cardflip.
Townie: Normal townie
Townie
Townie
Townie

Townie
Light spirit: Cannot be nightkilled, and cannot become an undead, since he is already one. Due to being a ghost, people don't trust him, so he will cardflip red. Thinks they are a normal townie.

First of all, yes, the sludge monster does keep their abilites, which TBH i don't find that broken, because after that they can't get anymore abilites. I personally
don't think this mechanic is too complex to have personally, and i don't want to change my submission right now either.

You do not have to change your submission. That was in yellow text because a gimmick like this increases the chance of people not understanding the game. Also, the sludge monster isnt overpowered now that I think of it. I missed the point where it says he can only use 1 alongside his nightkill. I am updating my review right now and approving the game.

just a recommendation, the vigi's penalty tiers are too far-reaching to be realistic. It would take at least 6 nights and killing 4 innocents on every occasion to get fired. I'd say the second or third step should be removed.

19 players:

Long ago, a mental institution opened its doors. It was dubbed “Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital for the criminally insane” and became known as one of the best mental institutions across the land. However, as time passed away, so did the staff. And with every generation of staff the good intentions slowly decayed and the mental hospital went downhill. The current director of Clearwater is an outright danger to the patients. He uses them to test experimental drugs not yet approved for human trials. The rest of Clearwater’s staff did all they could to make life better for the patients. But when four patients, all convicted serial killers, started killing people during the night, The staff was forced to execute patients in order to save their own life. Meanwhile, the director has gone completely insane. He is now determined to turn his mental asylum into a tomb...

Serial Killers:
-Sociopath: As a sufferer of Antisocial Personality disorder, the Sociopath has learnt to fake certain social traits. They may visit a player every day to copy their behavior. Doing so will make the sociopath cardflip the same colour as their target until the next day phase. If they don't use their ability, they will cardflip red.
-Stalker: This person developed a sick obsession with his victims before they killed them. The stalker can inspect someone every night to learn their cardflip colour.
-Meatshield: A person who has lost all signs of advanced intelligence after one of the director's experiments went wrong. May protect someone twice throughout the game. If anyone attempts to kill this player, the meatshield dies instead and takes the attacker down with him.
-Insane Alter-Ego: A split-personality within a person suffering of Dissociative Identity Disorder. May roleblock someone every night. Since they are both technically the same human, the death of one alter ego automatically kills the other.

Staff:
-Psychiatrist: May inspect someone every night, learning their cardflip colour. They can inspect the same player twice in a row to learn their exact role.
-Medic: Responsible for the patients’ medication. Every night, they can either protect someone from death or give someone a lethal injection.
-Therapist: May put someone through therapy every night to roleblock them.
-Mortician: May inspect a player who passed away every night to learn their exact role.
-Caretaker: May visit a player each night. If someone attacks the player, the caretaker will die instead.
-Employee: Nothing special, can cast a lynch vote.
-Employee:
-Employee:
-Employee:
-Employee:
-Employee:
-Employee:
-Chef: The man in charge of cooking the food for the asylum's residents. His frequent contact with bloody meat and knives makes people suspicious of him.
-Sane Alter-Ego: A split-personality within a person suffering of Dissociative Identity Disorder. Thinks they are a normal Employee. Since they are both technically the same human, the death of one alter ego automatically kills the other.

Third Party.
-Director: The leader of Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital might be even more insane than all of his patients. The Director can kill someone every night using experimental drugs, they cannot be nightkilled. They may also choose to sacrifice their immunity for a second kill twice throughout the game. They cannot do this on night 1 and they will regain their immunity the night after making a second kill.
Additional Information:: show
* Mafia-Visit is on due to the caretaker (bodyguard)
* All ability usage is optional.
* Lynching is mandatory.
* The mafia's faction kill is optional.
* If a kill attempt fails due to protection, the public will be notified."
* If a kill attempt fails due to immunity, the public will not be notified.
* Cardflip
* Lynching is possible in this game.
Role-specific information:: show
*The sociopath's disguises have effect during the night and day after they were taken. So, for example: If they use their ability on a green during day 1, they will cardflip green during Night 2 and day 2.
* The Alter-Egos are both played by a different player and are not aware of each other’s identity.
* The Meatshield can't self-protect.
* The Psychiatrist's exact role-inspection ability reveals all roles, even self-unaware ones.
* The Medic can't self-protect.
* The Caretaker can't self-protect.

Can I please get some new reviews on this one again? I changed the bartender into a disguiser and I also changed the thug into an agent. On top of this I also added a Miller.
Pseudo wrote:Just to be clear, can the Meatshield only protect his teammates?
Does the Director regain his night immunity the night after using an extra kill?

Update on the game, it is not a resubmission, but it is an edited version of the submission the m42 game. It has gameplay and a few rolechanges. It is listed within the changelog.
