Postby Xenor » Mon Aug 07, 2017 7:02 am

I downloaded SMBX 2.0 and i have 2 problems. When i play the game , there is no sounds or music, only custom music works, and nothing new added in SMBX 2.0 aren't working. Player blocks doesn't responds, npcs aren't working and of course i can't play Mario Challenge. Also no new cheats works.

Two questions: 1) are you playing in the editor? If so, chances are you're using the incomplete PGE Engine, when you should be just pressing F5 to play your level.

And 2) do you get any error messages? If you aren't playing in the editor, it sounds like your LunaLua environment isn't running. This can happen if there's an error, so make sure to send any error messages too.

Are you playing the PGE uhh. Engine?
You need to click on SMBX2 And press play game. Thats the real engine. The PGE is only for playing levels that arent complete.

That's... not really accurate.

The editor has two testing engines. There is the PGE Alpha Tester, which test using the PGE Engine. The PGE Engine is incomplete, and a lot of things don't work.

The other is called Lunatester, which is also accessible by pressing F5. Lunatester runs SMBX2, and is the testing engine you should be using.
