So, if you played the original Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES or the SNES version you probably know that if you run then there's a running animation. Grabbing something and releasing it will kick it and blah blah blah, anyways: Is there any way to add the missing sprites?
Here are the sprites:

(I stole the sprites from someone else, don't tell my mom )

Yes, with some Lua. I wouldn't say it's easy, but it's not too hard. You'd want to mess with the PC+0x114 value - that changes the player's sprite. Here's a table for reference.

Oh my GOOOOD! Nothing works on this crappy computer.
I tried some example codes in lua but non of them worked.
It was a black screen and thats all
Now I would like a running animation without LUA!

1. LunaLua is complicated and does not work for me.
2. SMBX 2.0 is glitchy as I told you before

Don't you get it? They just can't. Honestly, you should understand such simple things. Sheesh.

Very funny. Don't expect help without communicating your issue or issues, in any field.

And thats kinda it for the 2.0

As it's been said a ridiculous number of times, that engine is unfinished. Use F5 (LunaTester) to test normally

Also if you actually share your code somewhere then it can be checked.

What. It really isn't. Test via LunaTester and it uses the legacy engine. Works fine
