Battle For The Net

You all more than likely know about this movement, and here, I will be saying how important it is.
I begin with two words: Net Neutrality. This is basically the right to speak freely on the internet. With Net Neutrality, ISPs cannot control what people see and do on the internet. Since Net Neutrality started to be a thing on the USA, many have attempted to end it. However, only now it is truly in danger. Trump's FCC Chairman, Ajit Pai, is attempting to destroy the Net Neutrality, and the FCC moved his plan foward. If you live in the USA, the internet as you know is in danger.
Q: So what happens if Net Neutrality ends?
A: It would be a disaster. ISPs would be able to censor content, block what they don't like, prevent small companies from growing, and especially, stop movements they don't want to happen by blocking posts that talk in favor of these movements. They will also be able to hand over extra fees.
Q: I am not american. Will this affect me too?
A: In fact, yes, it will. You see, many companies would be forced to pay higher fees to keep existing, and this includes companies like Discord. It is likely that it won't be able to afford the cash it would need, so it can in fact die. Discord is not the only one. Many other companies and sites will be destroyed if this happened, and between them, it is fairly possible that there will be sites that you use daily.
Q: What can I do to stop it?
A: Spread the word and visit https://www.battleforthenet.com/
Remember, if we fail, the internet we know will be gone forever.
