CNN committed a felony

Did you hear what CNN did? They fucking black mailed a reddit user after he posted a meme about them. They also committed a felony, violating us code title 18 section 241.
5.Expose a secret or publicize an asserted fact, whether true or false, tending to subject some person to hatred, contempt or ridicule
It's punishable by death. You might be thinking, well geez, it must have been a really offensive meme.

Short answer, no it was not.
What the hell were they thinking? I want to hear your thoughts on this. Discuss.

CNN is awful and the maker of the meme could easily sue them for this. Also their claim that Trump "encouraged violence against reporters" by tweeting this meme is stupid and hypocritical, considering that one of their directors made a joke about him being assassinated.

It's obvious that CNN crossed the line and overreacted to a meme that pokes fun at society. Threathening to dox a person does not make you a reliable news source. As a matter of fact, it makes you more like a criminal. Plus, that gif is quite accurate, as Trump and basically people with common sense and logic are laying the smackdown on this good channel turned bad. I'm not saying that I support Trump, as he isn't a saint at all. However I'm supporting HanAssholeSolo in this situation.

You could argue that the guy was forced to apologize for violent Islamophoba and anti-semitism in his Reddit comment history but still, blackmailing and doxxing crosses the line and is completely unacceptable for anyone to do, let alone a multi-billion dollar company. They should really get sued. And besides, it was merely this harmless meme alone that garnered their attention. If he hadn't posted that meme, they wouldn't have cared less about his miscellaneous behaviour, and that is absolutely shameful, because any company or person should be able to take even the most harmless and humourous of criticism, and not have to track them down. It brings me light vibes of when Chance the Rapper pressured MTV into deleting their negative reviews.

CNN: This is promoting violence against people!

They've lost all their credibility with me. More likely than not they will face some sort of discipline for this action.

They've already lost all of their credibility the moment they started pushing that
Russians rigged the election BS down our throats.

But they did rig the election so Trump can bomb their ally, and not make any policy changes that favor Russia either directly or indirectly.

Proof? I've heard this from a few sources, but haven't found any of them credible.

It's nice that the Internet showed CNN that they can't use that kind of threats to censor memes; as awful as that redditor was, that is not an excuse (Even tho, his offensive posts were made in a subreddit made to post your most unPC thoughts, troll or not). If they had won, all of us would now be in a pretty mean situation.
But, that guy should sue them; definetly.

Considering the huge left wing media bias, probably not.
