MaGLX2 also was advertised the heck out of everywhere and Horikawa tried to get everyone and their dog to submit a level no matter what

There's a good chance MaGLX3 might be the size of the first MaGLX, but don't expect 273 entries.

So you don't think it will be advertised like MaGLX2? Maybe things like the time of year it is hosted could impact the entries but given that the communities have grown since MaGLX2, if the other factors were the same then it would likely be bigger. If Sturg does stuff like disallow joke levels or over-emphasize good level design (which resulted in less SCC entries than most previous CCs here) then the number of submisions could go down and if he hosts it at a shitty time of year then that would also happen.

When is a shitty time of the year? im just curious

When people are in School or at work. GEX had a really low number of entries because of that and also was why it took a long time to judge the levels.

As far as I know Sturg has not done nearly as much to overhype maglx3 as horikawa did for maglx2

forum size isn't necessarily linked to contest size btw

This is jackspedicy
Jackspedicy was a smbx user who contributed many levels and projects into the great America smbx forum. But then when the make smbx great again contest started jackspedicy had to participate, and because of this he submit a very nice level which was about bookshelfs and Lamborghinis in a garage.
He was proud of his dead meme level.
He even got 1th place in it. When jackspedicy saw the progress bar of the episode for the contest he got exciting about it.
But when the episode was done Jackspedicy was no longer himself.
The end.
