My favorites are:
  • all the SNES Bowser Castles because of the music they have.
  • N64 Wario Stadium because of the music it has, too!

I don't see a track as good or bad, all that matters is that I enjoy it.

a lot of the new MK8 tracks are really good (asids from the Mushroom Cup tracks). Shoutouts to Electrodrome, Shy Guy Falls, Rainbow Road (which I honestly really like), Mount Wario, Bowser's Castle, Dolphin Shoals and Sunshine Airport.

I feel that the Star Cup usually has the best new tracks, especially from MKW onwards. Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, all of the MK8 Star Cup, Wario's Shipyard and many more are all super memorable.

Moonview Highway and Dry Dry Ruins are also really nice tracks.

Also shoutouts to Toad's factory for being a great track in the Mushroom Cup (also Mushroom Gorge).

Electrodrome is really darn' sick bro. Tick Tock Clock is also pretty darn' cool, especially the MK8 remake.

the worst tracks of mario kart that I know are:
* DK alphino * (3ds)
* rainbow road * (3ds)
I hate them not for their music, nor their difficulty, nor for their duration.
but I'm playing in the citra emulator, since I do not have a true 3ds, and these tracks are crashed at an exact point in the race, and that makes me get stuck! which prevents me from beating the game ;-;
i tried everything, but still happening the same...
i dont know if some day i will beat that tracks...

The best ones I know are:
* luigi raceway * (n64 & 3ds)
* waluigi pinball * (3ds)
luigi raceway: I love luigi a lot, and this track focuses only on luigi, besides the music is good
waluigi pinball: it's amazing because WAAAAAAAH !!!
ok no, I'm kidding, is that the music is good, and when you start, you travel like a portal and the race begins

I don't feel like it's reasonable to say they're the worst tracks because they don't work on your emulator. Rainbow Road is a classic and great track

I agree with you, but that is the only reason why I do not like them.
if it did not happen, then I would not find any tack that I dislike ...
(in other words, I would put all the tracks as cool, some favorites, and none bad)
besides, I'm talking about specific game versions, I mean mario kart 7 from 3ds

DS Waluigi Pinball is my favorite because of the pinball theme and the music. GCN Baby Park is really boring though - it's literally just a tiny loop that probably took 30 minutes to make from start to finish. It's pretty much all based on just getting hit by items with very little actual driving skill involved.
Yeah I feel you. But I guess Nintendo just wanted to make a really crazy track with Baby Park and they tried something new.

My three favourite stages are Airship Fortress, Waluigi Pinball, and the Mario Kart 8 version of Toad's Turnpike.
I don't really have any "worst" tracks, but I will agree with others here that the original 64 version of Rainbow Road, despite the nostalgia some have from it, is very bland. The music is a redeeming factor, though. The original version of Wario Stadium is also very long and bland, with only a few jumps and way too many turns.
Yeah I don't like 64's original Rainbow Road either. But I loved the version from Mario Kart 8.

Question, can we include the battle mode tracks in this thread? If yes, then I also like:
  • Block Fort
  • Double Decker
  • The Gamecube track from Double Dash

I actually think baby park is a great track, since you can be really far in the lead and still surrounded by the chaos of all the other players using the high-powered items you get in last place. It can become nearly impossible to tell where you actually are and who is behind or ahead of you, and I just love that.

For my favourite course, I'd say Maple Treeway from MKWii. It's the first MK game I played and that course just stuck as my favourite. The cannon, the giant wiggler on the top, the leaf piles that would give you items when you drove through it, and the sections where you drove across the branches with the threat of falling to the ground below, and that huge net at the end.

I'd say I found MK8's Rainbow Road rather disappointing, especially after what Nintendo did with MK7. I was expecting a long 3-section/single lap track with crazy anti-gravity, glider sections, underwater, basically everything put together into a single track. I distinctly remembering playing through all the cups as quickly as possible so I could see what madness awaited me at the end of the special cup, but when I saw it I was genuinely disappointed. It's not a bad track, I just expected a lot more from it. In fact, you could remove the anti-gravity and flatten the track and it would still be the same to drive. I expected something like the disco track where the two road sections face each other and you can see other drivers racing upside-down above your head, or Sweet Sweet Canyon where the two tracks are opposite sides of the same road, perhaps something like the Mobius loop from the first track.
Sorry for the rant
